Keep voting Democrat and maybe some day you will have the Constitution tossed away and be told what and how to live by big daddy fed

then you will have your utopia where others can think for you.

I see this as the Governor using histrionic language ("camps") but I don't see it as him getting in the way; what he is saying is that the distribution and inoculation parts (a.k.a. the last mile) can be handled by Florida just fine but he needs more vaccines. So, the Feds should just say "OK, you don't need help with that last mile; cool; keep up with the good work; here, we're sending you more vaccines like you've requested."

End of the story. What exactly is the problem? I don't see any, beyond a choice of words that is a bit political and histrionic, but I couldn't care less, as long as shots are going into people's arms.

I'm saying the above, supposing that Florida can indeed handle the last mile and is handling it well. If that's not the case (I don't pretend to know the details of the situation in Florida) then the governor is wrong about declining help. But if the bottleneck is the lack of vaccines rather than the last mile, then the governor is right.

We have a problem: People don't have access to the vaccine. They either cannot get an appointment, or their appointments are canceled because of lack of vaccine.

Why pretend there is no issues? Why not just fix the issues as opposed to play politics? This is stupid.

Some have been able to get it, while the remaining 95% have not.

Sure, same to you, and no, I am not a Democrat.

Keep your childish attempts to insult to yourself little man.

FL cannot get sufficient qty of vaccines. Instead of typical Democrat whining, why not consider that

A: the current vaccines are 2-dose and need special handling. That means for 15 million people, it's 30 million shots and you need to cycle everyone for the 2nd shot after 28 days from the first THen you have to have professionals monitor the vaccinated folks for 15 or 30 minutes each time. You need a place for those folks to sit and be monitored and tend to them if reactions arise

B: health care professionals are still busy testing for Covid

C: Health care professionals are also busy with normal activities

D: health care professionals are still taking care of the few hospitalized with Covid

E: the current vaccines cannot be properly handled and administered by your local WalMart or CVS

Instead of griping, why not educate yourself on the logistical nightmare given the currently available vaccines?

Or, is your desire to parrot CNN/NBC/ABC/CBS/NPR about how evil is the governor that you cannot see the reality? By the way, given your posts, my question is basically rhetorical.

Is there a reason why I should be talking about Trump era riots in a thread about vaccinations?

OMG.......those conspiracy claims were made in 2009 and none if happened, but here you are claiming its going to happen now.......

States generally do a better job The federal government usually just adds a few levels of bureaucracy which just mucks things up.

Why do State Governors like DeSantis cry out to FEMA every time we get hit by a hurricane, if he can do it so much better? The answer is obvious. They can be useful doing certain things, and this would be a good example.

Gee, after four years of total boredom with Trump, you know, what we really need right now is faux umbrage from a trumpy bear governor who obviously needs his security blanket.
