Horrendous. I don't know what else to say.

This is in some ways just a continuation of a history that started 1300 years ago, with muslim Arabs enslaving dark skinned Africans.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, I was involved with a group that purchased freedom for enslved Christians in the Sudan. At that time it was estimated that the persecution of Christians
in southern Sudan had killed one million people, caused four million to flee to squalid refugee camps, and resulted in 250,000 Christians being enslaved. Captured slaves were given new, Muslim,
names and forced to convert by a combination of starvation, rape and torture. It was one of the greatest human tragedies in recent history, but has been largely swept under the rug.
