Would not hurt to Google: covid-19 treatment, and ask questions.

""There had been a tendency earlier on in the crisis for people to put patients on ventilators early, because patients were deteriorating very quickly," Chaddha said. "That is something that most of us have stepped away from doing.

"We let these patients tolerate a little more hypoxia [oxygen deficiency]. We give them more oxygen. We don't intubate them until they are truly in respiratory distress," Chaddha said. "If you do this correctly, if you put somebody on the ventilator when they need to be put on the ventilator and not prematurely, then the ventilator is the only option.""
U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT, HEALTH NEWS, Are Ventilators Helping or Harming COVID-19 Patients?, Mechanical ventilators mark a crisis point in a patient's COVID-19 course, and questions are now being raised as to whether the machines can cause harm., By Dennis Thompson, HealthDay Reporter, April 15, 2020.

Border Collie are a bit on the hyper side.Like Beagles.
They are very attentive.A little too much so.
Beagles are a little too interested in casing out a neighborhood.
Blood hounds a little to carefree and prone to long naps on the
    wood porch.
Chihuahua are not the sweet little darlings their owners
claim.Nor are Toy Poodles. They are snappers.Just as most any mailman knows.
Chuhuahua can also be dangerous around infants or toddlers.
Because Chihuahua are very dedicated to their owners and get jealous
very easy. That is a condition dog owners need to understand.
Dog Owners of big breed dogs especially.Because If a Big Dog is never
socialized they could be potential harms to the neighborhood. If not
taken out for walks or around other dogs they will be very Territorial.
That is what a Junkyard dog is.
I think there is something to the fact that Dog Owners who get
dogs from a Shelter { no matter the breed } and the dogs aren't too
old and treated with love and respect, their Owners almost swear by them.
That they are the best dog ever.
Not so sure about Mankind.Like Dennis Prager was fond of saying.
He likes man but not Mankind.Or specifically Humanity.Because of all the
centuries where Humanity was cruel, evil and controlling.
He cites the book by Viktor Frankl - Man's Search for Meaning -.
A Nazi Concentration Camp survivor.Who describes what it's like to lose
hope.Living on crumbs of bread and seeing other Death Camp survivors
trading what little food they had for a smoke.Like a last smoke before going to
an execution { electric chair }.
Dogs and Cats are God's gift to Humanity.
To equal out the Human condition.

I've been reading. She is off of oxygen and her levels are back to normal. Her breathing isn't the main issue. It's dehydration. She may have more than one issue going on. My son and I just tested negative. I'm getting meds for bronchitis, but my wife is the only "issue" right now.

I assume they have her on a drip for the dehydration. Try to find things she will drink.

We took my border collie to Texas last year and you wouldn’t have known he was in the vehicle he has his spot in the back seat watching traffic. He has defined that as his job. Not one bit of hyper on the trip. A perfect pup even the hotel people thought he was beautiful and well behaved.
The human quality certainly needs some equalizing.

An awful lot of Married folk which they Dint say " I Do ".
    I wonder how many couples at a Wedding say " I don't "
at the last minute. And what would be the penalty.
Let me guess.A Lifetime of henpecking like W.C.Fields in :
    - It's a Gift - { 1934 } as Grocer Harold Bissonette {pronounced Bis-O-Nay }.

    - Safe - { 1995 } was a very creepy movie which I rented years ago.
It is out of print.Starring Julianne Moore as an upscale suburbanite
who develops a severe phobia. Her eventual virtual fear of the outside atmosphere.
Where Pollution is abundant and making many people sick without
their knowledge.Starting with the biggest culprit our Cars and
big city smog. Then onto our homes and all those chemicals we
seem unable to live without, yet not having the knowledge as to their
hazardous nature.By the end of the Movie, she has let herself be taken
over by such fear she can no longer act normal.Look at the movie
jacket { at Imdb } to get a better understanding.

I'm really not into Creepy movies.Unless one considers Twillight Zone
just creepy. My standard fare is Drama. Then good suspense.
    I like 50's Sci-fi and most 60's movies.Movies and music
all sucked Big Time in the 80's.
    I'm not familiar with - The Vanishing - { 2018 }.
    But I have a copy of - The Lighthouse - { 2019 } not even a Guy movie.
Very darkly shot and slow movie with surreal movie angles.
It is mostly an atmospheric movie that tries to mimic what life must have
been like in that era where 2 men are charged with maintaining an old
Lighthouse while being sequestered from society.Eventually they
become unravelled. That is what prolonged isolation can produce.
Some may claim it to be Cabin Fever.

    I watched Vanishing Point recently.
A rather unique surreal classic ride.

Still hot.. has been triple digit heat for over a month now.. forecast does not show a dip for another week (98 degrees) There is no cold water from the tap..
Another oddity about here.. altho' we've had triple digit heat for over a month, the highway dept. are running their big trucks with huge snowplows on the front!

So I surmise that there have been some torrential downpours of rain hereabouts as they use those plows to clear the rocks and boulders from the low water crossings. (flash flooding is a local phenomena!)

Wondering how y'all are doing? Better I hope. Did you say y'all got it from your son? Any idea where he got it?

Send these to your wife from the bar... wishing her (& U) a speedy recovery.

I could use some teletwerking for exercise. Somebody posted a 7 min arm exercise vid last week and I did as many as I could. For the next 3 days, I could hardly move my upper body. Think that means one is out of shape. :(

My son got it from a neighbor that he works with, or they both got it from the same source. The neighbor lives by himself and tested negative the other day and is back to work.

Mrs Texan's problems isn't really with the covid. They think something in her GI system is causing the fever, nausea, and dehydration. They are afraid to pump in tons of fluids because they don't want her to get fluids into her lungs. They are treating the symptoms and trying to determine the exact cause, but they can't wheel her all over the hospital for tests with the china virus. We are on the phone right now and she feels OK at the moment.
