Which was not on the final deal Republicans offered. Democrats stopped this stimulus bill . It’s all on them.

Student loan forgiveness is the least important issue faced by our nation today. It’s such a worthless thing to bitch about. Comes across super whiny.

I agree on forgiving student loans especially for the stimulus. On the matter of student loans I do think they should be able to be discharged in a bankruptcy but make it only after 7 years after college or such ppl dont go to college get it discharged then begin their career.

Tell that to the Dems, I don't support it either!

But I agree with you, and this is not the time or place for the Dems to be playing these games.

I want the cleanest bill possible, I want it as fair as possible, and I want it as small (in dollars) and straightforward as possible.

Save the stupid political games and the pet projects and the vote buying for another day. Both sides will have plenty of time to fight about petty sh*t later, we need to pass a coronavirus relief bill asap.

Senate Republicans are pissing on one another, can't put any coherent plan together, and Fat Ass is incapable of showing leadership and making a deal, despite his fake claim to being a deal maker.

Trump, through Mnuchin, will have to kowtow to Democrats who, unlike Republicans, have their act together. Fake Don is desperate, and will be blamed if relief is not forthcoming. Most Americans already agree that he stinks, and he can't afford the state of the nation to become even worse under Trumpery because of Senate Republican impotence.

I hope the courts block any EO Pres Trump ties to push through. If a check isn't sent to all qualifying Americans then selective little groups of Americans shouldn't get benefits either. If he EO's what he's saying he will and some court doesn't block it then that's the end. Republicans will be off the hook, they'll never have to deal with Dems, and pissed off people around the country will vote Biden out of spite.

    Yup.

    Simple bill:

    1) $1200 checks every month until the Democrats decide that the COVID Hoax is just that (This will happen November 4th, so it would be August, September & October at most)

    2) Extend unemployment bennies

Democrats demanded their wish list of bailing out long broke blue states and student loan forgiveness. They thought they had Republicans over a barrel and wouldnt budge on these one trillion dollar add ons and here we are with no deal

I didn't think this was the time or place for that either. But the Republicans took that request out. The Democrats however are holding firm on student loan forgiveness, blue state bailouts, and wanting to give rich folks in blue states their SALT deductions back. Also, the last I heard, Republicans had bumped the unemployment bonus up to $300/week (originally they wanted $100/week) but the Democrats are holding out for $600/week thru January ($600/week thru January is a bonus of roughly $12000 for people to remain unemployed thru January, and to burden small businesses with trying to find workers willing to work when they're competing with that kind of pay just to stay home), so who is trying to compromise and still retain any sense of fiscal responsibility? (Answer: rhymes with Republicans;))

You can pleasure yourself with your fantasy, but it blithely ignores the blatant reality of Republicans' impotence in uniting behind a desperately-needed relief package, and Fake Don's feebleness in evidencing a modicum of leadership and competence in the art of the deal.

Actually, the paralysis in the GOP-controlled Senate and impotence in uniting behind a plan is attributable to imperiled Republicans attempting to serve their constituents.

Republicans' whining about the only bill out there instead of offering an alternative or compromising is not a tenable position.
The Democratic relief package is supported by a number of Republican senators is response to the demand of their constituents. That is why McConnell is incapable of uniting senate Republicans behind a coherent plan.

Even Trump, obsessed with his putrid re-election prospects recognizes the disastrous consequences of Republican impotence for millions of Americans:

"At the president’s direction, we have made no less than four different offers to Democrats on Capitol Hill,” Meadows told reporters. “Those four different offers have been actually rejected — but more importantly than that, they’ve not even been countered,” he added.

Your rightist "daily caller" spin is incapable of accounting for the stark reality: McConnell's inability to unite Republicans behind a coherent plan.

Republicans offered four plans. Democrats summarily rejected every single one. That is verifiable fact.
