Can you believe this? It's spring already. Looks like the groundhog got it wrong again. Not complaining. The birds are singing and the cherry blossoms have arrived. Life is good.
It will frost again before its over. My frost free date is April 15. But we have already seen 80 degrees.
Bulgaria will be always in my heart, but there's a special place for my beautiful Italia too. Riomaggiore (Liguria)
Misquote, friend. President Trump said "they're vicious and they stick together. And he said it prior to October 21, 2019. He was talking about Democrats being vicious. That is an understatement, depending on what the meaning of "is" is.
My beloved wife and I hiked the Cinque Terre before it was as popular as it is today. Now they charge a hiking fee. I was backstroking out to a buoy at Monterosso when I was stung by a jellyfish. Cut my swim short I tell ya.
There is also a trail at Kauai called the Crawling trail by some. It is 11 miles long so prepare to also hike 11 more miles back to get to your car. I have been to the vista where one sees where the area of the trail is but walked from the parking lot to the vista, a short distance.
Nothing compared to the rest of these great posts. Polaroid; Akpatok Island, about 36 miles out in Ungava Bay, opposite the Payne River mouth, roughly 1800 km north of Montréal; latitude N 60; Summer of 1975ish. Guess you had to be there. .
I don't have any pics, but did anyone see the moon tonight? It was really cool when I first saw it almost 3 hours ago, when it was still massive in size, & a darker orange than you-know-who. That was about 11:30 PM EST. It's still pretty interesting, even though it's risen & is smaller, just because of its unusual shape. It is slightly convex but the angle of the line between dark & shadow gives a real 3-dimensional feel and, oddly, it also makes the moon not seem consistently round. So go outside & take a look upward, as soon as you can, to glimpse our satellite while the sun's light has her wearing, essentially, a wet t-shirt.
