We, and I mean the government, can't make it through this pandemic by supporting every person. We're looking at something that is terrible. We must sacrifice the people. They must be cut off from government money and assistance. Congress, Democrats and Republicans alike, both know this. That's why they are delaying the stimulus package. It's just a show and not really going to pass at all. The latest stimulus package won't pass at all. That's what I expect to happen.

The Democratic stimulus package already passed. It's approved and sitting on Moscow Mitch's desk, ready for him to bring it up to vote on the floor of the Senate. Where I believe it would also easily pass with bipartisan support.

Not even close. The bill is an attempt shove every democrat wish list, 90% of which have nothing to do with covid relief through the legislature.

Well... it's the only WORKING part of government. The only one trying to do something to deal with this epidemic. Because the other chamber of congress and the Presidency are too busy playing politics.

That might be true if the other side presented an alternative, but one can't negotiate with someone who will not take a position (the Senate)

With a vote of "The bill passed by a vote of 208-199 and now heads to the Senate. One Republican backed the bill, while 14 Democrats voted against it.", you think it will be passed bipartisan in the senate? That seems wishful thinking when more dems voted against it than republicans voted for it.

You do know there is a senate bill right? The difference between the two bills is $2 trillion. Most of that $2T is part of pet projects that have nothing to do with Covid relief.

I wasn't aware that the Senate passed anything or even brought anything out of committee and I thought that Mitch McConnell had withdrawn from the discussion and left it up to the Speaker and the President's team to negotiate something. The Republicans in the Senate can't seem to agree on anything themselves that makes it difficult to negotiate with them.

    Your nonsense is unbelievable!

Which candidate would it benefit the most if the people in this country felt more financially secure? If this passed, who would get a "signing ceremony" with all the press present? Hint: Not Pelosi, despite being the person who has fought the hardest to get this passed beyond the opposition of Mitch McConnell and the anti-patriotic Republican "Hastert Rule"

This is exactly the opposite of the nonsense you spew. This is the clearest example you can ever hope to see of a politician putting their country before politics.

I'm sure it will pass in the Senate. I doubt Republicans who are up for re-election would vote against it. What house representatives vote for is not national news. All of them are up for re-election. But how senators in key races vote on a bill like this is closely scrutinized.

Furthermore, there is a reason why Moscow Mitch won't bring it up for vote. Or anything, for that matter. And it's because of the Hastert Rule.

Yup. Nancy and the Democrats just revealed that Congressional Democrats not only won't budge on their $3 trillion stimulus package passed by the House in May - she's upped the demand to $3.4 trillion in order to 'settle' on a deal."

Democrats don't want a deal. So, President Trump will just have to save the American Worker on his own.

The Daily Wire reported, "President Donald Trump is reportedly considering unilateral action on a corona virus relief package after negotiations stalled over the weekend, largely over how much the next bill should give in supplemental unemployment benefits."

Democrats are insisting on a Tax Cut For The Rich as the price of just a small bit of aid to the American Worker. They are demanding the controversial repeal of the “SALT” cap, a federal tax deduction limit for state and local taxes.

    Just pass the damn thing.

Americans need the money. (Many of them Red State Republicans). The economy needs them spending. States need the money...revenues are down.Hospitals need the money...we need money for testing and tracing

We're past the point of frugality.

    Just DO it

Just don’t send a $1200 check with Pelosi face and signature on it, as it likely will not be redeemable at my local USA..USA...USA.! Bank

Send ME , the real America 1st, Make America Great Again $1200 check with Trump signature, cause my bank cashed the last one with no problems and no need to fill out a SJW questionnaire like a Pelosi Socialist check would
