but that doesn't answer my question. If schools are indeed places where liberals openly indoctrinate children against America, why would any right minded conservative want children to be sent there?

I know it's just like sending a klid to church to be lied to and forced to follow a strict doctrine of subservience.

I disagree. Like I said, I think people are blaming the system for something that, if it exists, is inconsequential. Professors must follow guidelines. Program offerings are freely available to each student. Academia is operating as it always has, and today's kids are no different politically than they were in the '60s - liberal. They go in liberal, and they come out liberal. Who their professors are is irrelevant.

If indoctrination were successful, we'd notice this in the private sector, yet there is no correlation to be made between the US economy and indoctrinated students. Students graduate, get jobs, start families, work hard and plan for retirement. Nothing to worry about here.

The Soviets had great hockey teams. The Chinese are top gymnasts. I don't remember them sharing their gold medals.

There needs to be serious reform in our education system beginning with the dishwater they try to pass off as curriculum. Public education has become highly politicized and leans hard to the left. Schools should be about education. They are not venues to influence views about anything , the sole purpose is to teach students how to think, not what to think. Every child in America who is here legally is entitled to an education, an education that does not include social commentary, religious views or political views. Education should be about the structure of the world we live in, how things work and deal only with facts not abstracts. Students should graduate from high school literate, with a command of English, meaning they should have a voluminous vocabulary and an ability to communicate clearly. They should have a solid understanding of science and math and an appreciation for the arts. They should also have basic knowledge about the planet, the continents and countries and so on. Everything else should be taught at home where children can develop values that are not force fed. Schools need to be one hundred percent neutral and dispense education period. Unfortunately this is not currently the case but we need to begin getting back to the normal routine of life. With a minimum of precautions we can get back to pre virus status rather than settle for what we have now which is a lot of confusion fed by conflicting information.

Schools are run at a local level. Your town/county elects the school board, hires the teachers, hires the administrators, buys the textbooks and has the final say on curriculum. If you feel that it needs an overhaul that is where it should begin. Run for school board, apply for a job, volunteer to help with committee work go to board meetings/discussions it is really a simple process. There is no conspiracy here. If your schools lean to the left then it is because your community has allowed that.

Now, the real answer to my question: Conservatives need a free babysitter so that the economy can be further opened. It has nothing to do with learning, or with health. It is pure economics.

Economics professor barred from teaching class critical of Marxism to student body.

Academia has chosen sides, for the most part. Take note.
A great alternative, especially in our new society where so many folks work from home.
It's OUR tax money and our children. Your argument is actually that since they waste our money ineffectively that we should be fine with them focusing on Leftwing crap rather than a real world education?

That's some Biden Level "Analysis", right there.

So your tax argument does not hold water. Thanks for admitting you are wrong.

Your opinion, granted some places are more liberal than others but the left has infected education nation wide in elementary, secondary and post secondary. They even tried to foist a national curriculum on America that had little success, thank God.

Because Self Serving Left-wing Academia controls the keys to joining the professional ranks.

THIS IS DRIVEN BY THE ECONOMIC INTERESTS OF THE EDUCATORS, NOT ANY SORT OF PUBLIC INTEREST: The U.S. Is Pursuing The Worst Possible COVID-19 Education Policy, Forcing Young Children Online While Risking On-Ground Classes For College Students.

Colleges need the room-and-board money; K12 institutions have teachers who don’t want to go back to work. It's all about the "Benjamins" with these folks.

    “ALL REPUBLICANS ARE RACIST SCUM…”
Campus Reform reports on Professor Bart Knijnenburg of Clemson University, who apparently hates Republicans:
In 2017, Professor Knijnenburg wrote that “all Trump supporters, nay, all Republicans, are racist scum.”
