Trump was given two weeks to put up his impeachment defense. If there is going to be a delay for February or March, that gives more time. I say no, it's two weeks and that's it. There is no time to waste.

An impeachment trial of a former president That sounds like a horrible precedent.

How far back should we go with that? Should every former president be subject to being impeached?

Because I needed a clarification as to what this “last ditch effort” was.

Trump would rather play golf than face impeachment even though most of his business associates have or are severing ties with him and not even some of his new neighbors want anything more to do with him. Recruiting Mike Lindell the my pillow guy as a friend and many of the retail stores are not selling Lindell's product teking them off the shelves is causing more trouble. Trump if doesn't watch it, will be eating dog food from the ground basement floor.

OK It was to pardon his pal Steve Bannon. Got it? That's all I'm going to say.

Someone said the pardoning of Bannon was a last ditch effort. I asked what it was a last ditch effort to do. Trump didn’t get anything out of it.

Trump is likely to ignore the whole thing - and rightly so.

He’ll present a defense and it will be successful and the Democrats will once again be exposed as the petty hyper partisan hacks they are.

Why? Millions of people think either Bush or Obama were the worst president in history. Should they be denied those perks too?

Well, there is the fact that he told people to make their voice heard in a “peaceful and patriotic” manner.

When did he speak “ugly American treason?”

He advocated the black-listing of people who were suspected of communist ties. Today’s left is implementing black-listing of those who advocate conservative ideas.

There are several documents which describe the founding principles of the country. It’s wise to have a working knowledge of all of them. That way you can have a better understanding of the US constitution.

I don't disagree...keeping in mind their differences and the fact they were written eleven years apart by largely different people, under totally different circumstances.
