Perhaps. Running for office was the dumbest move Trump ever made. For decades, he skated away from the worst consequences of his natural propensity for cheating. He had never before paid any consequence (other than a few out-of-court settlements) or been held accountable for his actions. But his ego wanted the biggest claim to fame he could manage, and now there's a bright spotlight on everything he does or has done. Since the GOP is too cowardly and honorless to hold him accountable for his public bad acts, one can only hope that he'll at least get bitten on his financial misbehavior. I would bet money he won't do any time behind bars, though, regardless of how many years you or I would spend in lockup if we did even a fraction of what Trump has done.

There seems to be an ongoing tyrannical theme of Leftists in the IRS and Government leaking private tax information to the Press and Democratic lawmakers. I remember when the IRS leaked private Conservative Group tax returns to Propublica and the Democrats like Elijah Cummings (RIP). It's against the law and it keeps happening, but no one ever pays the price.
