…,Anyone want to party like it's 1979? Okay, at least in 1979 we weren't locked down, masked up, and socially distanced. But other than that, there wasn't much to celebrate. The economy was in the tank, inflation was rampant, gas lines were long, daubers were down, and no one in the White House knew what to do about any of it. A new term had to be coined for something thought impossible/oxymoronic..."stagflation." Yes, even as the economy was slowing down, inflation was rampant, an unprecedented pairing of economic indicators.

And today? The economy is in the tank, inflation is rampant, gas lines are getting long in some areas, daubers are down, and no one in the White House knows what to do about any of it. It may be worse than that. It may be possible that no one in the White House wants to do anything about any of it because it is part of the plan, the Great Reset, the elite's desire to take the U.S. down a peg while/by reducing greenhouse gases — and increasing intersectionality, multiculturalism, Critical Race Theory, and other noxious forms of political correctness.

Another unprecedented economic event has occurred: rising unemployment in a time of acute labor shortage. Only leftist policy prescriptions can yield truly miraculous outcomes such as this. Sagging economy and rising inflation; rising unemployment and severe labor shortage.

Well, at least we can look forward to the continued evisceration of small businesses, the utter destruction of our energy sector, the insolvency of Social Security and Medicare, and the bankrupting of our children and grandchildren...if not total societal collapse…..

What an ugly mess we find ourselves in. Our national malaise as perceived by our leaders is back. Big time. The secular progressive left seems to be celebrating every moment of it. We need a return of America First and to make America great again again!

Yep, OPEC jacking up oil prices internationally due to Iran's production being cut surly must have been Carter's fault. Just like a Russian hack on a private pipeline company must have been Biden's fault. It must be intellectually pretty easy to blame every problem in life on the president of the opposing party. God forbid one could show some introspection and come to the conclusion that driving that gas guzzler might not be the best idea.

Stagflation, misery index, Iran hostages, failed rescue attempt, national malaise. I was in high school and Jr college in those years. It was Reagan that brought back hope, optimism, patriotism, and American exceptionalism.

I'll be the first to criticize Biden when he does something stupid. As I did when he sent out the IRS letters with his signature on it for the stimulus. This short term gasoline distribution problem, however, is not one of the things to criticize Biden for. It might be news to you, but outside of the Trump cu!t, people actually judge politicians on merit, not on personality.

Not here. The '70s saw amazing growth. Casinos laid people off during the Reagan recession. Casinos never laid anyone off prior to this. It was a drastic change. When Clinton was elected, the building boom continued. The gaming industry likes Democrats for some reason.

Then California opened Native casinos and now we build factories and warehouses. Vegas still has all their eggs in one basket; we've diversified.

Looks like Reagan brought back your feelings. Aww.

So, if the Russians hacked an electrical station, causing a blackout for days, would you question people driving EVs?

Really? Did you criticize him for shutting down the Canadian pipeline immediately after he got into office?

Did you criticize him for his absurd immigration “policy”?

Did you criticize him for his undermining of the Middle East trump peace accords which is resulting in the beginnings of war with Erdogan urging Putin to “deter” Israel with force?

You think our Electric Distribution infrastructure is better protected than our pipelines?

WELCOME BACK, CARTER: Inflation Is the Issue That Will Topple the Democrats.
