I am Hungarian and am just a ray of sunshine (haha), but I know what you're talking about 110% they have reputations for being kinda snotty, definitely can say that for a few of my family members lol ! I will say, just like what you said about Paris, outside of Budapest the women and people tend to be a bit nicer.

I really liked Dublin a lot, but it's been a long time since I have been back to Ireland so maybe Belfast would be better now. I have been to Transylvania and I found it to be intriguing, myself...

I do recommend visiting Scotland, though pretty awesome...unless it has changed dramatically since I was last there and that is entirely possible.

LOL ya, I had a crayfish in a fishtank for a while that liked to play tug-of-war.

Actually it was me that liked to play tug-of-war with something that was just evolutionarily programmed to pinch anything that got near it... but quit ******** on my parade! ;)

On a sad note, I apparently they sleep or something... he (she? idk) stopped moving or responding to stimuli one winter. I figured it had died, so I took it out of the tank and put it on the porch for the raccoons. The next day it had come to and walked (evident by the little tracks in the shallow snow) a good distance before freezing. I felt very bad...

No offense to you about Hungarian women. They are definitely beautiful. And we all know that the people who migrated from Europe are not at all like their ancestors anyway. I was talking to an Irish girl recently and was talking to her about all the Irish people in Chicago and she got really mad and said “Those are NOT Irish people!” I thought it was funny.

I’m half Scottish so I should visit my roots. I’ve been to Sweden 25% and to Belgium 12.5% and of course the Netherlands 12.5%.

Yes, I highly recommend it!! Some of the nicest people there, at least in my own personal experience of visiting. I will say I haven't left the states in a long time, so it could've changed from when I was there last.

There are a lot of Hungarian women in Amsterdam and they tend to be very attractive so I approach them or they approach me and I don’t know what it is but they go out of their way to be rude. I’m assuming you are American so you must come from a different upbringing. And maybe Hungarian people are different in Hungary. Russian women are the same way but I’m told if you go to Russia the people are very much nicer

I’m told it’s better to go to Glasgow than Edinburgh now cause Edinburgh has gotten very snobby.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Yes! Glasgow is better for socialization and I liked the nightlife better also, parts of it are sketchy as hell but overall I loved it! Edinburgh is prettier and overall nicer but the people are snobby, yes!

You assume correctly and I know my upbringing is probably why. I know the Hungarian women can be quite rude, even in my own family of the one's born there, a few of them are not the nicest, one in particular (and I am being nice).

Russians I have known some that are royal pains in the ass, some as sweet as can be just misunderstood, but all freaking crazy hahahaha.

I spent some time in Estonia and 25 percent are Russians that were exported there during Soviet times. The Estonians are very sophisticated and polite and quiet and I could always tell who the Russians were but Estonians were quick to tell me if I went to Russia I would find the people much more polite.

When the water gets cold .... below 50 degrees F. they go into suspended animation and look very dead. None of my tanks are heated and they are outside in a shed. They are fun to watch. Native crayfish that is.

I usually find one half eaten. It seems they slow down to molt also. I put 57 in one pond and a couple dozen in another. I also have bluegill ....Lepomus macrochirus.... babies. Now I have to sort the babies for growth.

My favorite thing was hiking and backpacking. Not many guys are backpacking in the 40s, but I kept at it until my knees wore out.

I love riding my bicycle, but I spend enough to get really good bikes. We rode across Italy with Ciclismo Classico, coast to coast. Trip of a lifetime.

I loved Vienna, but it isn't a show off like Paris. They have a park in the city, it's huge, 10 or 20 times the area of Central Park.

You can take a tram or subway there, just wander in, you don't need a map (you do if you're not a hiker). I wandered around for hours, manicured forest, the Lippenzauer stallions are kept there. Then you find yourself coming out. Most places you can get a lunch, and catch public transport nearby.

They have a Ball season in the Winter. I got talked into going, I didn't want to, but it was magical.

The food is great, but do some homework, I adore the Viennese version of Hungarian goulash. They had a desert that's like a cloud. It's served on a freaking platter, and it's like eating wonderful tasting air. Not easy to find, it has a name something like Salzburger Knocklern.

Their alps are a bit on the small side, but there are wonderful shelters tucked up in the mountain. Hiking with linen and good food, can you imagine it?

Speaking of Salzburg, it has a lot going for it. The medieval torture dungeon is educational if disappointing. Disappointing because the iron maiden had only 3 or 4 spikes. After seeing Hollywood versions with dozens of spikes, disappointing. I imagine it got the job done, which was the educational part. It's one thing to read about something in a book, it's another to see the funnel they used to pour molten metal down an anus.

Actually, my favorite part of Salzuburg is no longer there. There had been a brew cellar run by Augustinian monks there for centuries. Best beer I've ever had, and it had a real kick. First time I went there, a couple of my buddies formed a triangle and we got back to the hotel that way. It was that or crawl.

Europe has so many places worth going to, I could easily design a year long vacation. But a week? That's tough.

I take my bass boat on the water with a good friend and try to outsmart a bass.
