What's red muscadine like? We have several muscadine vines but the crows and critters have always gotten to them before I could.

I also think it has to do with the atmosphere, sitting around drinking brandy around a fire place is different then drinking whiskey around a camp fire outside

I agree, and I would include the season in with that. About the only time I drink whisky is during the cold weather months and during the summer I'd rather drink rum and tequila or mezcal.

You can only pick one? Its now fall almost winter so I'm sipping Bourbon more then not. Hot summertime outdoor activities beer, or clear liquor with a lemon water.

I don't drink wine unless I'm out at a dinner that requires it, I don't drink much brandy either.

What I have is a purple Muscadine from Wills Creek vineyards. Made from Noble and Regal Muscadines. It is almost a Merlot without the strong overtones. Sweet and kinda dry. Not bad at all. Anyway, could anything bad come from Duck Springs Alabama? They also have some nice white wine too. We went to the vineyards for a tasting.

Not sure if you ever been up to door county Wisconsin, you want some delicious apple wine and a great scenery in the middle of winter, that's the place to go.

Not sure anyone calls it 'whiskey' outside of America. It's all 'Scotch', to us.

    FYI

The main difference between scotch and whisky is geographic, but also ingredients and spellings. Scotch is whisky made in Scotland, while bourbon is whiskey made in the U.S.A, generally Kentucky. Scotch is made mostly from malted barley, while bourbon is distilled from corn.

Ditto. Technically a non-drinker, but will indulge a glass of red if it's a pricey bottle and someone else paid for it :p

Thank you! It's interesting that here (in my country), we call it all Scotch regardless. Even when the label says 'whiskey' :D

It has been all Alabama all the time down here. But they lost 2 this year. And for a Bama fan it is a bad year.

Beer, but I am really laying off, just went to the ER Saturday with kidney stones and a bad UTI. Really, really sucks. I'm on a powerful antibiotic. I'm not quite 40, to damn young for this.

Going to a urologist friday, been on antibiotics about 48 hours now, still burns like razors...
Would not wish this on anyone, symptoms started over 2 months ago but I had no idea what it was, for over a month, symptoms come and go.

Not unusual for me to put a 12 pack away, may need to change that.
