Trump is screwing a lot more people who aren't pols. Those are the folks I care about.
For me, it's about people, not about grasping politicians.

I want to see an end to harassing pregnant women and gun owners. How about a deal--no gun-grabbing and no telling pregnant women they have to give birth? Both are impossible goals for proponents. Years ago, we lived across from a dairy farm, closer to the road than anyone in the area, and regularly had people pull up to ask directions. We were nearly a half-hour from the cop shop. Calling the cops for protection is not realistic.
It's counterproductive for the "out" party in almost all cases.

So now all of a sudden it's people we care about??

What happened to all the twirling and hand wringing about the DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA?

    Shame on you.

Well, I was saying it would be a relative unknown, but Gavin Newsom may be a slam-dunk at the rate things are going in LA.

If Newsome can't or won't get the rioting under control, and he keeps bucking Trump in immigration he's going to get impeached for a third time.

The sucker couldn't even carry California just now.

And he is milking it like a herd of friesians. I'm sure he'd love to be arrested and have his day in court in front of the cameras.

Somebody tell Tom "Uncle Fester" Homan to ****. He's clueless. "Duh...I'm gonna arrest Newsom!" Umm, no you're not, my dimwitted friend.

Well, but if Newsome interferes with ICE Homan will indeed accommodate him and put his butt in jail.

No one is above the law, eh?

Ah. We have another obtuse trump hater.

I will explain so you should understand.

    1) it is a violation of FEDERAL law to interfere with a FEDERAL agent doing their duty.
    2) as the judge in Wisconsin learned, aiding the escape of an ILLEGAL MIGRANT avoiding detention by ICE agents will get one arrested and charged. With a felony.
    3) Newsome has stated that he is prepared to stand with protesters in the street to stop ICE from arresting ILLEGAL MIGRANTS.
    4) Mr. Homan has enthusiastically indicated that he will enforce the law, that no one is above the law.
    5) trump has publicly given Mr. Homan clearance to do exactly that.

So. Homan understands and is enthusiastically ready to arrest anyone, but especially, the guvnor, should they incautiously decide to interfere.

Now, if this is still beyond your ability to comprehend, you might consult with the corn in your a$$. :)

The tariffs are resetting the global economy to favor America. Already the trade deficit had the largest drop in history. Tariffs will bring in 200 million a year thats free money. They hurt our enemies like China and Russia. So far prices are down inflation is down and manufacturing is coming to America.

Well, not really. The tariffs could be part of protecting vital industries. Otherwise, we're trading service sector jobs that pay $20+/hour for jobs that pay $2/hour before we subsidize them with tariffs to compete with those $20+/hour. We csn't protect every vital component or material internally, but we can make deals with trusted partners like Canada (well, they were a trusted partner until Trump drove them away).
"Free money?" No, consumers pay the tariff. Very few businesses are willing to eat the tariff.
Inflation is down because the economy is weakening.

That alone proves you have no knowledge or understanding of economics.

    Perplexity:

Recent data and expert analysis indicate that the U.S. economy is experiencing a noticeable slowdown, though it is not yet considered to be in a recession. Several key indicators highlight this weakening trend:

    - GDP Contraction:
The U.S. economy contracted modestly in the first quarter of 2025, with a 0.3% annualized decline in Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This marks the first quarterly contraction since 2022, but it does not yet signify the start of a recession[5][7].
    - Growth Forecasts:
Economic growth is expected to slow considerably in 2025 and 2026. Forecasts suggest GDP growth of 2.2% in 2025 and 1.3% in 2026, with persistent inflation and the Federal Reserve holding off on rate cuts in 2025[1].
    - Consumer Confidence and Spending: While consumer spending remains relatively strong—with real personal consumption expenditures rising notably in late 2024—consumer confidence has declined. Both the University of Michigan and Conference Board consumer confidence indices dropped in early 2025, reflecting heightened uncertainty and concerns about inflation and tariffs[1].
    - Labor Market Signals:
The labor market is showing signs of potential weakness. Recent surveys indicate a decline in labor force participation and a rise in the number of people not in the labor force, even though the unemployment rate has remained steady. This suggests underlying softness despite strong headline employment numbers[6].
    - Tariff and Trade Policy Impact:
Aggressive tariff strategies have disrupted trade, led to stockpiling of imports, and created uncertainty for businesses and consumers. While this boosted imports and business investment temporarily, it is expected to result in weaker spending and investment in subsequent quarters[5][7].
    - Inflation and Policy Uncertainty: Inflation remains above the Federal Reserve’s target, and there is ongoing debate about fiscal policy and the risks of further tariff increases. These factors contribute to elevated recession risks, though current recession probability estimates have declined recently[4][9].

In summary, the U.S. economy is showing clear signs of weakening, with slower growth, lower consumer confidence, and increased uncertainty due to trade and fiscal policy. However, it is not currently in a recession, and some economists caution against overinterpreting the recent GDP contraction given the unique impact of tariff-related stockpiling[5][7].

I don't consult with ****-corn, and have less reason to consult with a flabby old bald cognitively impaired man who flees from his own threats. But you seem to like empty words from empty suits.
