I just heard that they prevented the passing of a spending bill last week. For what possible reason? Is it simply because it could benefit Trump? What pieces of human waste they are for preventing critical relief to the people they are supposed to serve.

You hit the nail on the head. The more suffering and hardship the dems can make people experience the better their chances of getting dementia Joe across the finish line. From the unnecessarily prolonged shutdowns in democrat states and cities to the blind eye to outright violence and lawlessness to the constant 24/7 Trump hate obsession while they literally no nothing - its their core 2020 campaign strategy to make people miserable.

Dems are behind the shutdowns. They have ruined the economy and are standing in the way of stimulus money. It is clear: they want people to suffer so they can blame Trump.

We know who is responsible for this: Democrats.

I assume you mean only the majority of the shutdowns.

Coronavirus relief stopped in August, after the Republicans refused to take up the measure the House passed at the end of May.

McConnell cobbled together a bill that cut the relief in half, and he couldn’t even get his own party to vote for it.

You guessed it. They know that a President's chances of reelection in a bad economy are slim and they are doing everything they can to facilitate it. They are directly tied financially to the mob violence and rioting in the streets as well in addition to allowing the rioters to escape justice and returning them to the streets to commit more acts of violence.

Even moderate democrats ought to see that their party's leadership is way out of control and they would be stupid to vote democrat and reward them for this behavior.

So, it’s the Democrat’s fault that the Republicans refused to extend the benefits?

Look up the Problem Solvers' caucus plan:

    https://problemsolverscaucus-gottheimer.house.gov/

Of course, it won't be passed because the extremists on both sides are unwilling to budge.

The biggest problem, however, is Mitch in the Senate. he all of a sudden found his desire for fiscal responsibility again, after losing it for two years when tax cuts for the rich were on the table.

Didn't it involve basically making it so that people can make more money not working than working?

The House bill had $3.8 trillion poison pills in it. It was so over the top in expenditures and had many other poison pills in it like mail-in voting, elimination of voter ID requirements and bailout money for blue states. That wasn't even a serious effort. Get real, you can't blame the GOP for not even giving that consideration. It wouldn't have gotten the 60 votes needed for a cloture vote.

The bill McConnell introduced had enough GOP support that with even a few democrats they could have gotten cloture. The bill should have been bipartisan because both sides wanted the relief to go out, but the democrats held it up demanding more money. Why didn't they pass McConnell's bill and then if they wanted more $ come back in another bill?

If ensuring that there is no incentive for people to not work by making more money than if they DO work, is "fiscal responsibility", then great. I'm all for that!

    1) I like AM radio but haven't had much time to listen lately.

    2) I have been a vocal critic of QANON conspiracy crap since the beginning.

Why would you make stupid assumptions like that when it will just make you look foolish?

The Democrats in the House sent a relief bill to the Senate months ago and McConnell refused to discuss it.

There is no end to what the dems have been doing in the past 4 years to get Trump out of the White House. To many dirty tricks to list. It's going to cost them because the people are not as stupid as the dems think they are.

NOW? The Heroes Act is still on the table. It PASSED the House in MAY. It funds unemployment WITH the additional unemployment as well as money for hospitals and testing and state and local governments to avoid lay offs. Dems are still willing to negotiate.

    Moscow Mitch is NOT

Why does this mean that the one from the Senate shouldn't be passed?

    A. Dems passed relief MONTHS ago

    B. Dems are willing to negotiate

    C. If Dems accept this very minimal relief...there will be no other

The Senate can pass relief NOW.

    Republicans are willing to negotiate.

How the hell do you know that?

good question and one all americans need to be asking themselves.

i believe it comes down to a couple things
    1) the dems are attempting to bailout dem state legislatures who’s failed policies over the years have left them in high and dry
    2) they want to inflect the most pain they can on americans this election year and hope to blame trump

    sad state of affairs

Because there hasn't been one. The Republicans couldn't agree on what they wanted in it so they punted to the President asking him to negotiate with the House.

This needs to be reiterated. The democrats packed so much pork into their relief bill it was unpassable. Now they are blocking any effort to make progress because they didnt get their state bailouts and voter ID bans and various other pie in the sky garbage they figured they could pack in. Never let a crisis go to waster is their new motto. I think the top dem "leadership" is now simply pure poison to any functional government activity. They are completely off the rails on a personal vendetta against the POTUS. Maybe his re election and their advancing age will convince them not to seek future terms.
