I've noticed that if someone wants to be a Buddhist, a Jain, eat a taco, that's cultural appropriation but if they want to convert to Islam, which is thoroughly anti-Liberalism and anti-atheist, that's OK. Why is that? I honestly suspect it's because these people believe that Muslims will hurt other people in the future, so it's OK if someone wants to convert to Islam, but if they want to convert to anything else or do anything else it's cultural appropriation because they don't view those other things as hostile.

To provide an example, western people are encouraged to wear hijabs and go to Muslim prayer but some of the same people will attack the same person for eating sushi.

Don't try too much to find logic in fools. They just try to oppose everyone, and mostly they use made up concepts to act as sort of religious police (but the religion is progressiveness) just for the sake of feeling the satisfaction of having controle on people.

I can only assume this issue you "Noticed" involves a single situation and a healthy dose of imagination. No one in my experience has been accused of cultural appropriation and I (like many) avoid anyone in Islamic display.

Its simple, if the group mandates you take part in an activity, its "ok". If you as an individual would like to appreciate and explore other cultures, then you are wrong and should be shammed for being open minded for not doing what the group wants you to do.

I never heard about that. Who wants western people to wear Muslim clothes or go to a mosque if they aren't Muslim? And who hates others because they eat sushi (or kebab)?

Some far-progressive. But yes the author is exagerating a trend among far progressive which isn't mainstream, for now, and let's hope it will never be the case.
For me the notion of "cultural appropriation" is an intellectual fraud.

Cultural appropriation is merely an ideological term that is not to be taken seriously by anyone who is not a Left Wing activist.

You might get more replies if you troubled yourself to refrain from using a leading question and if you supplied proof of the claims you make.

Since when is converting to Buddhism or eating a taco "cultural appropriation"? Kindly supply "proof" of this claim.

Kindly supply evidence that people have been attacked for eating sushi.

For the future, please supply evidence for the claims you make.

    Will await your reply.

The people you are talking about, who believe what you say they do, don't exist.

Cultural appropriation is a bullshit stick used by BOCS to beat up on guilty white liberals and guilty white liberals to beat up on themselves. Ignore it and any domfok who believes in it.
