If none of your tax dollars are going towards funding abortions then why did you ask the question below?
Well sure, if you consider approximately 200 women per year dying because of having to self-induce abortion total bodily autonomy. I don't consider that option bodily autonomy. Clearly you do.
My point is that everyone born should have the basic human right of bodily autonomy. The fact that women's right to bodily autonomy was trampled didn't mean they didn't have it to begin with.

I agree everyone should have bodily autonomy. But there were many who didn't...or at least didn't in a safe manor, have bodily autonomy when it came to abortions prior to RvW. In my opinion, putting ones life at risk due to a self-induced abortion isn't what I would call having bodily autonomy. And maybe I'm splitting hairs but I'm ok with that.
Yes, that's why I said"The fact that women's right to bodily autonomy was trampled didn't mean they didn't have it to begin with."" We are on the same page....but getting someone else to understand is a bit of a struggle..
NO, we are ALL BORN with the right of bodily autonomy. RvW protected women's right to bodily autonomy by saying abortion can't be made illegal. IF abortion is banned that takes away women's right to bodily autonomy.
It seems that you make a distinction between bodily autonomy and SAFE bodily autonomy. That's a pretty weird distinction. Either women have bodily autonomy or they don't.

In the case where they self-induced, they didn't WANT to do that to their body. They had no choice. Hence why RvW now gives women the choice to have a safe procedure, which gives woman actual bodily autonomy.
No you're right...shoving a coat hanger up a vagina to induce an abortion is the bodily autonomy every women dreams about.
Well then I assume that you'd say that bodily autonomy was restricted prior to the invention of the safe abortion procedure that we have today.
Because tax payers money is used. Why does it need to be MY money for me to care? Is that your standard for caring?
