Would you worship black Jesus?

Suppose DNA samples found on the 'Shroud of Turin' housed at the Cathedral of John the Baptist and on the 'True Peices of the Cross' Jesus was crucified on housed at the Holy Monastery of Xeropotamou, were both dated to 2000 years ago and both positively matched to one man who was of pure African descent. Would this change your view of and/or relationship with Jesus?

Really doesnt matter. The picture in my head is a middle eastern olive toned man...but I could picture a more african version. What I cant picture is light brown hair and blue eyes...never saw that as "real"

LOL....why not ask about a black Santa then? There is no proof that there ever was a Jesus of the Bible other than in the Bible. So any DNA would truly be fantasy. That being said, IF there was any Jesus, he would more than likely be Semitic and dark skinned, so what would be the point of this hypothetical?

You can start your own thread on black Santa if you want, but afaik there isn't any controvercy regarding 'black Santa.' There is regarding 'black Jesus,' which makes for a far better discussion piece imo.

What is your purpose in posing the OP question?

 

To see if anyone really cares what color Jesus was. So far, only 14% of people who participated in the poll care what color Jesus was. Which is higher than I would've guessed, but the margin of error is pretty huge right now.

I didn't ask if you're allowed to be here. Of course you are. Why are you choosing to be here if the poll doesn't have any options for you?

And what do you find unfitting about the 'I still wouldn't worship Jesus' option? Cuz it sounds to me like you don't worship Jesus, and you still wouldn't if he'd been black.
