What if a White Candidate Did This?

You are correct about the sixties and seventies. In the 60's Johnson needed Republicans as in Dole supporting the Civil Rights Bill. Then you got the Nixon Southern Stragety in the late 70's. Yet since then what has the Democrats done for the Black population? Then again most Middle Class Neighborhoods of Black population mainly in the South is a shocker to the North Eastern Blacks under mostly Democrat control.

Once again this is 2012 and its time for the Blacks to come back home to the Republican Party. Which may happen if they have any sense, I don't know how far the Republican Party would go to placate the Black Vote if it was indeed up for grabs, but the Black Leaders of today don't understand that part of the equation.

All is fair ... it's Election time and the Gloves are off. This President has been in office for over 3 years and we're still talking about where he was born and his religion.

Obama is a Democrat and for 70 years Blacks have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats. To say Black people only voted for Obama because he is black is a dumb as saying white people only voted for McCain because he is white.

Obama won election to the Senate against a well known black conservative winning over 70% of the vote.

I didn't see you complaining when Romney recorded a commercial (a hit job) in Spanish. Politicians make appeals to racial and ethnic groups all the time. This particular group is not just black, they traditionally vote over 90% Democratic so getting them excited and involved is important.

A lot of whites supported Herman Caine over the other white candidates. He had a big following. He was judged by his ideas; not by his color.

AND a lot of whites.....mainly Democrats and some Independents... voted for Barack Obama. Some even admitted it was because he was black and not because of his ideas. So, who is it again....that votes based on race?

 

I agree, why would they vote for the party that wants them to take personal responsibility? The party that doesn't cater to a specific group. A party that doesn't say, "vote for me, or you won't receive guberment handouts anymore"? I mean really, what has the GOP done for blacks anyways?
