I got guns two ways. First My first purchase was the 1960 Model 70 Featherweight - cal 30.06. A very light weight heavy hitting Mauser action bolt action rifle. I had it for close to 10 years then had a gun smith mount a good scope. Those who are interested should only buy the pre-1964 model due to Winchester changing the design to an inferior design.
Next rifle was the Remington Cal .270. I also purchased a scope for it. It was variable power. Next came the .357 Ruger Black Hawk magnum. It was stolen from my home by my deceased brother. Mike refused to admit it. But he had access.

Dad's collection passed to me upon his death. He bequeathed me about 8 guns.

For hunters, that Model 70 Winchester was sweet. It was no heavier than a .22 cal rifle. Out in the mountains a couple pounds less to carry makes a difference. Warning, due to the light weight, it will really kick. So a good stock pad is worth it.

Seems you like the temperature of the water. I don't mind a former Democrat jumping in.

I inherited almost all of my rifles except for my first new .22 rifle and new 30.06. I have not hunted in a long time so except for target shooting I clean, oil, and polish my babies. I bought 4 .117 cal air rifles/pistols over the last several years and those are my new toys. I even have a "range" set up in by basement for the air guns. My wife used to ask me what that noise was, I lied and said air nail gun. LOL She believes me until one day I forgot to but away the paper targets. Busted. It was a tough sell explaining how safe firing air guns in the house was.LOL

No they are not. I'm not talking about the ones he hijacked. I'm talking about his followers.

Its also painfully clear you know nothing about Islamic wars if you think they are defensive in nature. How do you grow your religion to take over all of the middle east and invade Europe in defensive wars?

Go ahead Margot, show us all again how poorly educated you are on the subject of Islam.

I know this was posted early on, but....

The short answer is almost any of them.

At that distance you're not aiming, you're spraying, and whatever hits, hits. Listened to several of the video's and this guy had either automatics, or, semi-auto's with certain pins and bolts removed to make them automatics. Hell you could do what this guy did with a 9mm or .22 lr and kill people.

All you have to do is angle the gun correctly. Lower power/velocity bullets would require that you aim more "up" in order to offset the lack of power to gain distance. Think of it like a parabolic arc. With an assault rifle, machine gun, etc, you wouldn't need to aim up as much, but you'd still have to factor in bullet drop.

Before anyone jumps to the conclusion that this means he was highly trained, don't. Anyone would be able to see the spark impacts from the bullets and then be able to adjust their aim to inflict maximum damage. That being said, it's likely his first and second clip weren't what actually did damage, it was the ones that came after.

Yeah I'd say that too if I was faced with the reality of what my hate book actually says.

If your clerics condemned it I wouldn't be able to find countless examples of them using it to spread hate or reveal a 1000+ history of waging war with Europe.

The Obama Administration classified a mass shooting by a radical Muslim as workplace violence. I'm guessing that's the default position by the federal government in mass shootings.

Not to easy to inherit a gun in California any more.

Democrats have decided if you do inherit guns from a family member who kicked the bucket and was buried that you must go through a FFL dealer andpay for having a background check conducted. If you are inheriting five guns then you must pay for five background checks. That's how loony the left has become in California.

In a couple of years you will have to pay $50 for a background check to purchase a $7 box of .22 rim fire ammunition in California.

Sort of what I said earlier that with the concentrated mass of people in an constricted place and surprised that there was shooting he did not have to aim .

    Useless.

There's better solutions, like a travel ban for inhabitants of Mesquite.

... till we understand what the f*** is going on....

I agree that the pendulum has swung way way too far to the crazy side.

If I called it a drum or belt people would likely be confused. Clip is simple and understood by everyone.
