Ok. Not a big deal ?

Except the fact that you're more likely to die in mass shooting in USA than anywhere else in the world.

so true, this is a statement released by the singer at the event, well said, think many are feeling this way

    Jason Aldean
"Over the last 24 hrs I have gone through lots of emotions. Scared, Anger, Heartache, Compassion and many others. I truely dont understand why a person would want to take the life of another. Something has changed in this country and in this world lately that is scary to see. This world is becoming the kind of place i am afraid to raise my children in. At the end of the day we arent Democrats or Republicans, Whites or Blacks, Men or Women. We are all humans and we are all Americans and its time to start acting like it and stand together as ONE! That is the only way we will ever get this Country to be better than it has ever been, but we have a long way to go and we have to start now. My heart aches for the Victims and their families of this Senseless act. I am so sorry for the hurt and pain everyone is feeling right now and there are no words i can say to to take that pain away. Just know u all are in my heart and my prayers as we all go through this together. Time to come together and stop the hate! #stopthehate #prayforlasvegas"

Rather than musing about how many ways a demented individuals could kill that number of people,
I prefer to confront the reality of how this demented individual did, if fact, kill that number of people.

I support reasonable steps to impede the facility with which such a demented individual did, in fact, amass the arsenal that he did use to kill that number of people.

Others insist that such a demented individual should be allowed to amass such an arsenal to kill that number of people.

that is one big hotel room, no wonder he had enough time to kill himself before the police could neutralize him, there was no direct line of site shot from the door, he would hear the explosion and know it was over for him long before they could get to him, taking as much luggage as he did into a room that big would not seem out of the norm either

I don't agree with registering to vote, personally. I think it's unconstitutional.

Most Americans (those without either a firearm fetish or anti-firearm fetish) remain sensible, and willing to confront the nation's untenable frequency of mass shootings with common sensical, preventative measures.

we register to vote, but no one knows how we voted unless we choose to disclose that

I see your point though, but would you want to have to register to be religious, fo have free speech, ect.....

we only have a right to one vote, that is why we register

agree, but even with guns state have some control, you can not just carry a gun in public without registering with the state in many states and carrying around a license to do so

now I do not agree with that, I think concealed carry is more polite then open carry and one should not have to get a license to be considerate to those around them

and rightly so, as you would have people refusing to hand out such licenses claiming it was against their religion and such - thus forcing children and rape victims to have their rapists baby

heck, you were hear outrage if a Christian refused to hand out concealed carry permits cause they believed the ten commandments was against killing

I think people should be outraged Pence was for requiring mandatory vaginal probes prior to an abortion

They said he did shoot one cop thru the door. The police backed off and Swat went in but he had taken his own life. They said he had 2 platforms. It would make sense. Could have had the weapon ready to go. Even at 64, that is a bit of distance from one window to the other.

Last Thursday, officials said, Mr. Paddock checked into the gold-tinted, 43-story Mandalay Bay, at the southern end of the string of big hotels that line South Las Vegas Boulevard, the renowned Las Vegas Strip. He took Suite 32135, one of the hotel’s “Vista” suites, which spread out over 1,700 square feet and offer floor-to-ceiling windows. “This is the perfect Las Vegas suite for those who seek the perfect views,” the hotel’s website says.

He brought in more than 10 suitcases during his stay, but no one saw anything amiss, the sheriff said.

Over the following three days, the Las Vegas Village and Festival Grounds, northeast of the Mandalay Bay, played host to the Route 91 Harvest Festival, featuring dozens of country music acts.....snip~

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/02/us/las-vegas-shooting-live-updates.html

Some people said Vets at the concert ran to get their gear, others were trying to get people to stay low or get behind something. Others used their fingers to plug bullet holes in people.

There was no partisanship with the people in the crowd. Strangers were even covering people they did not know. Some already shot laying on top of other people trying to protect them as the bullets sprayed down.

Many laid on the ground not knowing where the bullets were coming from.

that picture and the view from the outside of the windows really makes it obvious how big that room was and yes, does explain the pause in shooting too as he had to walk that distance too

More people were killed by cars and knives, not guns. Do we have to restrict the use of cars and knives?
USA has got a more violent culture, promoted by Hollywood, no gun control can change it. Americans have to control their culture, not the guns.

Wow. I was on vacation most of Thursday, and all of Friday. Then I had drill Sat-Monday. And I come home to find out that the worst shooting in US history happened.

This is not how I saw my day going.

Thoughts go out to the victims.

Unbelievable that he used hotel rooms as a perch to mow down victims. What is this world coming to?

That's roomS and it isn't that far to walk.

The time to walk that distance is about the same time it takes to change a magazine (That might be "clip" to you).

Well, he is dead, he cannot speak any more, and nobody could name the motive or the reason of his sudden madness.

I have a lot of reading to do. I'm still trying to understand what the the hell happened. Seems like he was firing 300+ feet above the concert which gave him a nasty vantage point.

    Sick **** that guy was

Some insist that demented individuals such as angry White guy Stephen Paddock should be allowed to amass arsenals to kill vast numbers of people without society impeding the ability to perpetrate such frequent massacres.

I support our society's right and responsibility to do so.

What specifically has Hollywood done to promote violence?

    How about video games?

The left is celebrating the deaths of country music fans, who they see as mostly white Christian Republicans, but they will act concerned and sad just long enough to try to enact gun control.

Not just on this issue. The left has gone mad on every issue.
