Roy Moore Now Leads by 7 in Latest Alabama Senate Poll​

Conservative Republican Roy Moore leads liberal Democrat Doug Jones by seven points in the Alabama U.S. Senate special election that will be held next Tuesday, 50 percent to 43 percent. There were four percent undecided and three percent for write-in candidate Lee Busby, according to a new Raycom News Network/Strategy Research Poll of likely voters released on Tuesday.
“The statewide telephone poll of 3,200 was conducted Monday night between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.,” WBRC reported, making it the most recently conducted poll of the closely watched and hotly contested race:
Fifty-nine percent identified themselves as typically voting in the Republican primary and 33% identified themselves as typical Democrat primary voters. Eight percent considered themselves as independent or not typically voting in party primaries. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus two percentage points.
The party affiliation of those included in the poll’s sample closely mirrors actual recent voting behavior in Alabama, a state that Donald Trump won by 28 points over Hillary Clinton in 2016, 63 percent to 35 percent.

Roy Moore being elected is a definite win for Democrats. He will become the poster boy for Republican corruption in the 2018 elections. He will help get out the Democrat's voters. Moore is crazy - so he'll be a continuous embarrassment and constant headline maker that will help Democrats paint Republicans as supporters of twisted child molesters.

For the Dems, the Moore thing is win/win no matter what the vote is.

 

I've noted on the forum before the typical Democrat view that losing = winning, that the more elections and offices they lose, the more they are winning. I figure is the need to feel oppressed and that everything is going to hell in a handbasket justifying more ranting and sobbing.

It is actually simple: Winning is winning, losing is losing. By the next general election, 95%+ of voters in the country will have no clue who the Senators from Alabama are, what political party Moore is in, or care.

Republicans losing Alabama would be a MAJOR lose for the numbers in the Senate - which also is the only legitimate topic and significance in the election. You and I both know that. Your message is just a Democrat talking point on the losing equals winning theory to deal with losing over 1000 Democrat held offices.

 

The seat is already in Republican hands - there is no shift in power if they keep it.

 

I know that is their strategy but so far the dems strategy has not been working.

 

If this goes to the ethics committee in January, the yearbook has to be subpoenaed and forensically examined or the senate reputation for being 99 bumbling idiots and a retard will be confirmed to an even higher degree.

The Republicans swore the Democrats were finished after Reagan won.
