Stay with them. There are more customers waiting for you to blow their lies to pieces. Check some just ahead of this post. Get em tiger. You have the facts.
The NRA trains millions in safety. Trains many cops. Trains those who agree to be trained. Meanwhile the Federal boys do not train any civilians and few law enforcement. How many has the NRA trained that murder people? Come on Democrats, surely you can tell us all that figure. I just e mailed all my lawmakers and urged them to put an end to attacking the NRA which includes so many great citizens it must be defeated.
Nickolas Cruz for one! Adam Lanza is another. https://www.mediaite.com/online/pol...s-group-denies-record-of-member-relationship/ Then there is Harlan Carter but he might have killed before he became an NRA "hero". https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-teen-killer-who-radicalized-the-nra?ref=home
"Virtually identical" is not the same thing as the claim that was being presented by yourself previously, about the parts in the AR-15 being identical to the M16. If they were indeed identical, they would not need to be modified to make one "virtually identical" to the other. That matter aside, what about the issue raised by yourself pertaining to the push pins of the AR-15? Why was that issue dropped from discussion, when it was suggested the chance in diameter was simply to avoid potential supply issues when fulfilling government contracts?
And in the vast majority of cases where a firearm is displayed for lethal self-defense, the weapon isn't even fired. Studies have shown that 40% of incarcerated felons have passed over a potential victim, simply because they suspected they might be armed. Good morning kids. The weekend is here and the politics surrounding the Parkland mass murder are coming sharply into focus. See what I did there? I wrote "mass murder" and not "mass shooting." There's a link for that because he who controls the language, etc. But up front, as the abject corruption and social justice madness that has infected the Broward County Sheriff's office is exposed, the sordid history of that locale as a hotbed of Islamic terrorism comes back into view. A slew of some of the most notorious Islamic terrorists were at one time or another living in or plotting their acts within the confines of that locale. Actually, the name Sami al-Arian just popped into my head but that's just the tip of the al-iceberg. Nice to know that Sheriff Scott Israel hired a CAIR leader to be a deputy. I guess that institution being an un-indicted co-conspirator in a major Federal terrorism case is not necessarily a disqualifying factor. Considering the other link I have where an Alaska congressman rightly claims (though the phrasing is a bit in artful IMHO) that German Jews could have prevented their fate had they been armed, one of the nation's most heavily Jewish areas would not only prefer being unarmed but have a terrorist-linked individual as a sheriff's deputy. Insanity. Broward County Considered a Hotbed of Terrorism, Sheriff's Deputy a CAIR Leader http://ace.mu.nu/archives/374116.php#374116
Not exactly true. I disagree your your "Gun Culture of Death". The NRA started fighting against gun control in the 1960's. AR's were available in the 1960's. If these mass shootings are due to the NRA's stand on guns and the availability of AR's, why did we not start seeing these types of shootings in the 1970's or 1980's? It was not until the late 1990's that the shootings became commonplace.
Of course people are the problem. if all humans were perfect everyone could have any weapon up to and including nukes and there would be no issues. That said it is going to be a lot easier to remove the ability of people to commit mass murder than it is going to be to perfect humanity. You do inderstand why societies have laws and rules and behavioral restrictions I would assume.
The NRA defends bumpstocks. That is all anyone of any rational thinking ability needs to know about the credibility of the NRA.
What does a stock like that do? Pulls the trigger one at a time. What is irrational is to call a stock a machine gun.
Why don't you know what you are talking about? (FAIRFAX, VA) - The National Rifle Association today issued the following statement: "In the aftermath of the evil and senseless attack in Las Vegas, the American people are looking for answers as to how future tragedies can be prevented. Unfortunately, the first response from some politicians has been to call for more gun control. Banning guns from law-abiding Americans based on the criminal act of a madman will do nothing to prevent future attacks. This is a fact that has been proven time and again in countries across the world. In Las Vegas, reports indicate that certain devices were used to modify the firearms involved. Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law. The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations. In an increasingly dangerous world, the NRA remains focused on our mission: strengthening Americans' Second Amendment freedom to defend themselves, their families and their communities. To that end, on behalf of our five million members across the country, we urge Congress to pass National Right-to-Carry reciprocity, which will allow law-abiding Americans to defend themselves and their families from acts of violence."
And you appear incapable of comprehending what you post. Or do you think the NRA somehow in that carefully waffling statement calls for banning sale of bumpstocks?
And that has absolutly no relevence to my point that the NRA has opposed banning the sales of bump stocks. Read their statement again.
And they want them regulated. Why don't you read. Why do you ignore what Obama wanted? The NRA has not said they support bump stocks. They only did what Obama did.
Sorry you don't understand the difference between the NRA asking BAFT to determine if sales are legal and possibly calling for more regulation on sales and banning the sale of something that has no function except to make semi automatics function as an approximation of an automatic weapon. And time for you guys to grow up and realize Obama isn't President.
Thanks for the reply. I understand what you are saying. My question is, what has changed? AR's have been available to the general public since 1964. Why was it not until the late 1990's that their use in mass shootings seemed to become commonplace?
Read the previous posts quoting the NRA current position on bumpstocks. Then you can read my comments on what they said if you can't understand their statement all by yourself. Or you can read this: https://www.nraila.org/articles/20171012/nra-opposes-legislation-banning-bump-stocks
Thanks for the concern. If I have problems understanding I will get my mom to help me with the content. Oh look what I just found: Oh, by the way, following the link you provided from the NRA-ILA goes to a page that explains that the NRA opposes "legislation". That is the part that was being opposed. You can link to this previous quote with the link to The Hill above.
I for one am pleased you kick Obama under the bus. I expected it to take a long time. You made a claim. And you have not proved your claim. I refuted what you claimed. Look, I never meant to hurt your feelings. Feel free to move on.
The NRA Gun Culture of Death only started in the last couple of decades or so. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2013/04/national-rifle-association-ads-history/ That link clearly illustrates the progression from normalcy into the Gun Culture of Death. NRA ads from the 1950's. NRA Gun Culture of Death ads start appearing in the 1990's Today's NRA Gun Culture of Death is a stark contrast to the 1950's.
