I don't even know what a culture of death is. The NRA opposes essentially all new restrictions on guns. If you believe this leads to higher gun violence rates than that is bad. Otherwise its not. Its rare to post facts on any political science board Those are the boring charts and graphs everyone ignores.
You are entitled to your erroneous opinion but since you cannot refute the FACTUAL REALITY that We the People are rising up against the NRA Gun Culture of Death exposes the fallacy of your baseless allegations. The ongoing headlines announcing major corporations severing all ties with the TOXIC NRA Gun Culture of Death all FACTUALLY support my position. As an American I uphold your right to your factless and erroneous beliefs but as someone who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution I staunchly uphold the rights of my fellow citizens to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness WITHOUT having to deal with the fear and paranoia that the NRA Gun Culture of Death has nefariously spread across this nation.
You mean "boring statistics" like these? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2017/oct/02/america-mass-shootings-gun-violence The chart on that website is too large to display it is that horrendous.
If you ever are in the need of help, please refrain from calling the police as they carry guns and will be there to lend aid 10-20 minutes from your call.
Of course they do. It's called job security. I will make you a deal. When you hear someone breaking into your house in the middle of the night, YOU call the chief of police and I will pick up my flashlight and AR15. We may both make make the morning news. One could be very good, and one not so much.
I have no doubt whatsoever that any intruder thinking about breaking into my house will have second thoughts and more along to your house instead.
The only thing that cannot be refuted in this discussion, are the delusional ramblings that are found above. Nothing presented by yourself is actual fact. Corporations severing ties with the NRA is not due to some sense of moral obligation to protest the position of a civil rights organization. Rather they are doing it for the purpose of protecting their own profits and maintaining their own bottom line. Irrelevant and off topic. Nothing presented by yourself amounts to actual fact in this discussion. No evidence of a so-called "culture of death" is present with the NRA. Find some citations that prove they are advocating the killing and murder of others, then perhaps a reasonable discussion can be had. Until then it is nothing more than the hate-filled screeching of one who cannot accept the fact that their position holds no merit.
Law enforcement officers who hold the position of chief are subject to political appointment, rather than legitimate promotion through competency. They do whatever bidding the one who appointed them tells them to do. A far more accurate picture would come from law enforcement officers themselves, such as the fraternal order of police.
You mean you will make the news because you shot your kid coming home drunk? Or you shot soneone who knocked on your door cause their car broke down?
And at present Donald Trump has taken no steps to do anything to address the slidefire stock device being freely available.
Hmmmm! Let's just take a look at how the FOP perceives We the People? https://www.thenation.com/article/the-fraternal-order-of-police-must-go/ https://www.local10.com/news/local/miami/miami-fraternal-order-of-police-boycotts-beyoncs-concert Why would you consider the FOP's opinion to be the only one that you would deem to be worthwhile given their glaringly obvious bias?
Note the phrase "such as" in the previous post, indicating that the aforementioned group was simply an example of an organization made up of legitimate law enforcement officers, rather than of political appointees who share the same views as whoever appointed them to the position in the first place. Law enforcement officers who must patrol the streets of where they work, and are actually tasked with carrying out policies, will generally hold different views than those who sit behind a desk far removed from when policies and laws fail the people.
Then let us address the validity of the claims being presented. In the first link presented by yourself, the cited individual is attempting to promote and sell a book that they themselves have written. They have a financial incentive to argue racism and claim racist policies exist, but they make absolutely no effort to actually back up the claims that are being made. They claim the fraternal order of police consistently take stances against the rights and safety of black individuals. But not so much as one single sentence of the article is devoted to explaining precisely what these stances are, or how they exclusively focus on black individuals. The second link presented by yourself holds even less merit. The fraternal order of police is free to protest and boycott anyone they wish, just like any other individual or organization in the united states. Come up with actual facts that show these racist claims are indeed true. Until then it is nothing more than supposition and unrestrained race baiting.
Unbelievable: Nikolas Cruz Was Never Arrested for His Many, Many Crimes Because of an Obama Policy of Avoiding Calling the Cops on "Diverse" Students In Favor of "Counselling" and "Esteem-Building Exercises" Had this f***er had a single criminal rap on his record, he couldn't have murdered 17 innocent people
To educate those that do not know better on the matter. To cut through the rhetoric that is presented so freely, and force the discussion to be one pertaining to matters of facts and only facts.
Every level of government screwed up: SHE WASN’T UP TO HER JOB: Broward sheriff’s captain who gave initial order to ‘stage’ not enter Stoneman Douglas is ID’d. “The Broward County Sheriff’s Office has identified the captain who, according to sources, directed responding deputies and units to ‘stage’ or form a ‘perimeter’ outside Stoneman Douglas High School, instead of rushing immediately into the building, as the mass shooting unfolded there.” You cannot trust strangers for your personal safety.
