Let us put the matter this way.

If an individual is considered to be too dangerous to be able to legally purchase or otherwise possess a firearm, then that individual is obviously too dangerous to be allowed free in society, and should not be released under any circumstances.

    Can such be agreed with?

But wait...I thought the funding was going to come from Mexico?

“In the end, Mexico is going to pay for the wall,” Trump said at the rally in Nashville, Tenn.
“They make all of this money, and they do absolutely nothing to stop people from going through Mexico, from Honduras and all these other countries, the caravan, all of this stuff,” the president said. “They do nothing to help us, nothing.”
“They’re going to pay for the wall, and they’re going to enjoy it,” Trump added.

Nice to see you can't even back up your own statement. Since cops aren't procogs they have to wait until a law is broken to take action. They either get a tip or come across the lawbreakers through investigations / luck.
We don't know the full story yet. Coincidentally enough there is a former professional wrestler at the same age and name with ties to SoCal and Texas. It can be very easy to see how he acquired the guns in Texas and kept them when moving back to Cali. And we don't know when his felony was committed.

If anything it appears to be a figure of speech on the part of Donald Trump. The nation of Mexico will pay for the border wall in the form of the economic loss they will experience when illegal immigrants from other nations stop passing through their own nation, meaning they stand to lose millions on the deal when the traffic reduces to but a trickle, if not stopping entirely.

That's not how that law works. We have restrictions placed on certain felons after they serve their term. All the time.

How many years was this going on before someone chose to speak up?

Factually incorrect. Attempting to purchase firearms out of state is only legal if the individual making the attempt can legally own the firearms in question, and even then they must be shipped to a federally licensed firearms dealer in the state of residence for the paperwork to be completed within that state. Anything else is at least one felony offense, including interference with interstate commerce.

Then perhaps that is ultimately the problem, and the united states is in need of changing its laws to address such. Too dangerous to legally own a firearm, too dangerous to remain free in society.

Hahahahahaha....stop....you're killing me. Oh man...I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

You know damn well he lied about being able to get Mexico to pay for the wall because he knew his followers would eat it up....hook, line and sinker.

You are assuming he was a felon when he acquired them. And that he was living in California when he did.

Obvious you don't live in California and don't know many in law enforcement or know any criminals and how they get their guns.

Stolen guns which are traceable go for about 1/2 of their value on the streets.

Smart bad hombres will dispose of a traceable gun once the gun has been used in a crime. They use to be known as "Saturday Night Specials."

Most bad hombres who have a brain want a gun that can't be traced. These are known as "ghost guns."

Where do you find them ? On the streets.
Where do these ghost guns come from ?
    International gun traffickers.
International gun traffickers make large political donations to liberal politicians, the DNC and even to a former President.
International gun traffickers want more Nazi gun laws so there will be a larger market for guns on the black market.

In California the ghost gun black market has quadrupled in the past ten years.

Err, your post has got nothing to do with mine. In the UK many criminals cannot afford to buy a gun on the black market because being so rare, they are really expensive, many times more expensive than they cost new, so expensive that they have to hire an illegal gun for one day.

Those laws and tough punishments against heroine were supported by the man whose picture is your avatar. You mean to tell me Just Say No didn't work!? Shocker.

Of course if more people had heroine, there would be less heroine related crime I'm told by the NHA...

    Sigh.

The gun laws worked perfectly. Once they discovered a felon was stockpiling guns, they went and took them. And they did so BEFORE he shot up a school. So you just found a story that only emphasizes the need for stronger gun laws. You should read AND think before you post...

There are a lot of murders in this country, so obviously laws against murder don't work.

I don't believe there is any legal mechanism that would allow a person to be kept in prison once he has served his sentence.
Criminal records could be categorized with people considered dangerous put in a category that is not allowed firearms.

A felon in possession of a firearm is a felony.

Laws are used to prosecute not prevent. Laws can't prevent crime.

He is free on bond. Chances he will show up for trial are? That is California's way. The sanctuary for all criminals.

And if you do it's a felony unless you register the receiver.

Private sales in the state of CA must be handed though an FFL and involve a background check.
You must have meant to say "illegal private sales".

California has universal background checks - how can you be right?

Why don't you understand that correlation does not prove causation?
