don't get all giddy over the 'likes', we all know that it's not yours but rather an indifferent photo found/copied/pasted here... however we still appreciate your faux sentiment
You put far too much thought into that! Also, it's worth mentioning that not all Democrats are leftists.
We were trying to convince you that not all cat owners are liberals, leftists, and/or feminists. All cat owners are cat-ists, regardless of party. Don't worry. Be happy catty.
Oh, no! Not.....not...not... Say it ain't so! Maybe a bag a catnip and a stuffed mouse would make him nicer, though.
When you said that "any political opinion to the right of liberal opinion is barely tolerated" on the cat forum, did you mean "barely tolerated" by the staff or the members?
The staff. None of the moderators are "moderate". No matter. This is a fun place to talk politics. The cat forum is a good place to talk cat. I'm glad I found this group! They should just have a forum rule to not allow any off-topic political discussion if they aren't going to let everyone speak freely.
I used to belong to a gardening site, with a small political subforum. Until 2016 rolled around, things were fun and informative. In the months leading up to 2016, and shortly there after, the absolute nastiness of a certain group of posters managed to run off about (as of when I left) 25% of the group by dragging politics on to the main board and inflicting rude things on those of us who really could have given a rats patootie who someone voted for. I save politics for the political boards. Best when off-topic chatter is saved for special places, like Smartmouth Woman's Bar, no politics allowed. Come visit, I'll buy you a shot.....
I'm extremely a dog person but I would like to know more about what is behind a cat person's personality.
dogs are of weak mind, are dependant upon others, do stupid tricks for treats... cats are intelligent, independant & don't like stupid games... they say that a pet is an extension of the person...
Woow. As a law. If one thing is good doesn't mean another thing is bad. Dogs aren't weak minded it's a groundless statement. Cats often think about their personal gain but dogs care about values and they see the value in friendship and virtues. But cats see the value in themselves.
Dogs are pack animals. To a dog, their human is the pack leader, this is why they are so obedient and loyal. Cats are tied to their maternal instinct above all and this is a global thing affecting both sexes. A cat sees you as both its mother and its kitten Usually in the animal world a direct gaze is a challenge and this is why our felines often avoid a direct gaze, they are being politely deferential, not aloof. When a dog gazes at you it is awaiting orders and that expresses its love through its instinct. When a cat does so it is expressing trust and love by overcoming its instinct to look away. Welcome. I feel terrible for your cat and never did like owls being around mine when I had some cats. If I had known they actually might eat them I would have chased them away but they left on their own anyway because the crows constantly harassed them Arline Bleecker begins her book, The Secret Life of Cats by noting how commonly she has received reports of house cats actually stalking deer, though none where they actually attack them. I guess when they get close they think better of it but talk about confidence to begin with!
Cats are also pack animals. Feral cats group in colonies. The size of the colony is limited by the availability of food. The more food, the larger the colony grows. As pets, cats certainly are more independent than dogs are and have more diverse personalities. I've owned exceptionally friendly cats and extremely aloof cats with most being somewhat "off and on" depending on their mood at the moment. You can train almost all dogs to do what you want most of the time. You can train some cats to do some things some of the time, but for the most part the cat isn't being obedient as much as it is just humoring you.
