https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/17/tom-brady-leaving-new-england-patriots.html Tom Brady announced Tuesday that he will leave the New England Patriots. In a tweet, Brady thanked the team but said, “Although my football journey will take me elsewhere, I appreciate everything that we have achieved and am grateful for our incredible team accomplishments.” Tampa Bay Buccaneers & Bruce Arians ... or home to commiefornia & the Chargers?
Chargers make more sense. Especially with an extra playoff team in 2020. Maybe he can talk Gronk out of retirement.
Yup. Giselle wants to live on the East Coast, and $30 Million is a lot of money for a 43 y/o QB (with diminishing skills). Besides. Tampa has a great group of young receivers and a good running game. And, with the extra Playoff Team (in 2020), maybe TB12 can get TB into the Playoffs. PLUS, the Marketing Possibilities of TB12 in TB is Monumental. TB in TB. Family considerations will rule the decision process and Giselle wants to stay back East So, Tampa it is.

Many good points made in that piece. Hard to say if he'll stick it out for 2 years before retiring if he gets his ass kicked this season.
Maybe that young receiving core and those tight ends give TB a new lease on life? Also, if AB is cleared to play he might join TB. https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/article241299276.html Another good TB article: https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...-are-a-good-match-unless-brady-shows-his-age/
I wish he had stayed the rest of his career at New England but this was not unexpected The Patriots were never going to commit to Brady for several more years as it is one of Coach Bill Bellichek's practices that "It's better to cut a player loose a year early than a year late".
Expect Chris Godwin to give TB #12: https://www.tampabay.com/sports/buc...R1Jv8w.1&utm_referrer=https://www.google.com/
It's not that- Brady has taken a lot of pay cuts for other players (gronk, hightower) to keep them on board salary cap-wise. He wanted more money than the pats can afford...the pats need to pay better WRs, RBs, and Guards. The pats have no weapons. A bad time for Brady to be a free agent.
Hey, Bro'. Yeah, crazy how things worked worked out for Brady. Still, the marketing possibilities of TB12 in TB are epic. Maybe they get Cam? What would you think of Cam to the Pats? 2 competing stories: https://patriotswire.usatoday.com/2020/03/24/panthers-cam-newton-patriots-fans-want/ https://nesn.com/2020/03/nfl-rumors...ediate-interest-in-newly-released-cam-newton/
I hope to god we don't get Cam. He's mentally and physically broken. I'd much rather have Dalton. At least he fits the system.
He might. But Dalton is still no Tom Brady. I don't think teammates are afraid of Dalton. Many are terrified of Brady.
Cam Newton is considered a favorite to join the Pats. I still disagree. I believe Coach B won't deal with a Diva like Cam. He's 31 and constantly broken. I think they stick with JS and BH.
