This is where things don't make sense to me. There are messages all over this forum and the internet claiming that disenfranchised groups are "Pulling the race card" and that systemic racism does NOT exist. If true, how can Biden or anybody else be labeled a racist?

I absolutely believe and have witnessed discrimination against certain populations so I'm not questioning that. I'm asking about the contradiction between

"racism doesn't exist and it's X group playing the victim"

to

"this man is clearly racist and out of his mind that he can't filter it any longer".​

 

It's no secret that older Democrats disliked or thought less of the black population, but nevertheless wanted their votes. After all, most politicians are opportunists.
I had the chance to work for an older (around Joe's age) liberal Democrat in a business setting, and he often told stories of Democrats, during the 60s, attending KKK meetings. "Those were the meetings ya had to go to, but you didn't want anyone to see you coming or going."

Unlikely. Taking any position in opposition to the President would be an act of treachery by a Vice President. Almost for sure, Biden was Step One in a policy change.

 

There should be national standards the feds support with assistance. States allowing the virus to run amok can be quarantined.

So what? Do you care where the COVID-19 comes from that screws up the economy in your community and state? Bars across the state line spread it in your town? College kids

I like my idea. We need to reduce transmission because we don't know enough about the virus to determine how careful we'll have to be in the future. What are the long-term effects? How long does immunity last? Will we get a cure, or develop effective treatments, or create an effective vaccine?

We know how to cut transmission, but that involves closing some types of businesses and modifying how others operate. We can financially support these businesses while we look for answers. With answers, we can adjust our response.

 

I'm not that interested in the answer. I don't think it makes any difference at this point.

What a croc! We have people "on the left" (IOW, not a Trumper) who want to save the economy. Trump's own Fed Chairman has almost begged the Republican Senate and Trump to increase spending. As it is, small business is in a world of pain because opening up before COVID-19 was suppressed has killed sales for many businesses even when they're allowed to operate. Trump and the Republicans are prepared to let small businesses go under.

If you're thinking I'm on the left, you tell me what leftwinger supports school vouchers, medical vouchers, and believes Roe v. Wade was a bad decision (I'm pro-choice). Name even one.

Once again, it is proven with 100 percent certainly he NEVER said anything about a miracle cure. He stated HCQ looked promising, and he was objectively correct about that (decades of science proving its effectiveness against flu like symptoms). So why do you feel the need to lie and make up the objectively (and definitively disproven) FALSE claim that he called it a "miracle cure".

Its not a croc at all, its simply the truth. Your refusal to accept it is not my fault. He listened to the experts and took a bad situation and mitigated the damage, taking action long before democrats did, as many cheered the destruction of our economy to hurt him.
