Wouldn't that mean you oppose freedom of speech according to your own argument? You argue such laws should be unconstitutional.
How is Child Porn related to Parlor ? and Monopoly practices of Amazon ? but even if we were discussing pictures of naked children - this is not free speech - these are illegally produced materials ... and as far as constitutionality is concerned .. the will of the people has spoken on this matter .. which over-rides the constitutional protection - by means of a change to the social contract - Such a change requires overwhelming majority consent - but - I think we are covered on this one.
Amazon and especially Google have become super predators. They are in the business of eliminating competition so they can sanitize the web of anything they don’t want you to see. Everyone should be extremely concerned about how they are colluding to create a form of a monopoly in order to control the decimation of information.
Twitter was just sued for not removing child pornography. Their defense was that it didn’t violate their rules.
THEY BLAME PARLER BUT DID WORSE THEMSELVES: Andy Ngo: Twitter Did Nothing to Stop Antifa Planning, Promoting Riots in Portland, Seattle.
Based on your evidence, which is ZERO. That would be a conclusion. Now if you have evidence to the contrary, you would provide it since I've asked you for it for 4 or 5 times now. Why won't you provide it?
Because it no longer exists! If you have evidence of currently active RIGHT WING planning on social media, then you should be able to provide it! If not, then we are both in the same position!
Then you agree there are lines which can be crossed? The problem is that you equate inciting/plotting violence to conservative speech, so you can make the 'they censor conservative speech' argument. The social media is saturated with "conservative speech", so obviously there is no concentrated effort to delete speech just because its conservative. Its to a point there I have un-followed some of my conservative friends in FB because they spam the place with 10-20 political posts every day. How would this discussion board react if you started to plot a violent event here? How about if a liberal poster did it? I think they would be banned regardless of political affiliation.
What do you mean it no longer exists? Only RW side gets deleted and shutdown. It no longer exists, because it never existed. No plans to ever go riot and loot by either of those groups. All your proof you've been providing is the proof needed. It's made up.
"Either of those groups?" As in, either left wing OR right wing? I thought that you were saying that right wing groups used social media to plan the Capitol riot.
You must draw the line somewhere, you have the right to bear arms, does this mean you should have the right to own an atom bomb?
But the problem is different countries have different ages of consent, hell within the US itself there are different standards. Not such a big thing before the internet but now...?
Yes, I agree there are lines that should not be crossed, and in case of Parler, some people crossed lined which Amazon had drawn and Parler refused to do anything about it, so they got the boot off the platform.
ARE YOU NOW, OR HAVE YOU EVER BEEN A MEMBER OF PARLER? Agent Fired from Literary Agency for Using Parler and Gab. Why, it’s as if 50 years of Hollywood blacklist movies were all suddenly made obsolete: “For decades, Hollywood and the media were obsessed to the point of self-obsession with ensuring this could never happen again, that Americans could never again have their free speech rights destroyed by private companies. Well, what a difference a few years makes. If you take even a cursory look around, you will now find Hollywood and the national media making arguments in defense of the 1950s Hollywood blacklist.”
Florida Gov Ron DeSantis is proposing a law which would get the government deeply involved in the running of social media. His law (FL) would penalize the companies $100K per day if they ban a politician even if they incite violence. Such law could cause such companies to stop offering their services in Florida altogether, I believe something like that already happened in Australia. If the government creates laws and regulations which are impossible to obey, then the only solution is to shut it down. What happened to you Ronnie? You showed so much promise when you first became the Governor, and then you started to mimic the president and totally lost your way.
"WARNING. UNFETTERED CONVERSATIONS ARE HAPPENING! UNFETTERED CONVERSATIONS ARE HAPPENING DESPITE CONCERNS" "The idea that people are using a private means of communication that is — what’s the word? — PRIVATE, well, it just galls. Misinformation might be spread! People are saying things and using words and there’s no one from Snopes or Politico to stop them and say “hold up now, let’s run that assertion past our panel of people whose vested devotion to a particular set of ideological concepts do not align with yours, but are considered True because they believe in all the Good Things.” There’s a spirit of busybody bossy vengeance abroad in the land, and I hate it. And by “land” I mean that nowhere place that shapes the culture." https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/433090/ “Journalists, desperate for content, have flagged Clubhouse as a new frontier for their slimy work as voluntary hall monitors and speech police.”
