While Romney pays about 9% and ExxonMobil pays nothing. Of course I'm only talking averages.... And after 40 years of tax cuts from the GOP federally, state and local taxes have risen to the point where regular people pay twice as much in state and local taxes as the rich. People who vote for Republicans are totally misinformed..... Google the only tax graph you need to know.

Get past your ridiculous propaganda that can only talk about federal income taxes, our only progressive tax. Google the only tax graph you need to know. State and local taxes hit regular people at twice the rate as the rich and payroll taxes are as much as federal income taxes now. Quite the scam.

What you do in YOUR state is up to YOUR state. Each state is different and you can change yours. We are talking the FEDERAL tax system and FEDERAL budget and the fairness of that system which the current President repeatedly says it is not fair and posters here repeatedly say it is not fair including you so try again.

So what is the fair share of the tax burden of the "rich". The top 1% pay 40% of income taxes, the top 20% pays almost 90%, the bottom half pays virtually nothing and in fact make money off the tax system. So if that is not fair enough what would be. Biden was hyping is Bill Against America today and he kept repeating the rich aren't paying their fair share of the tax burden. If you agree then tell me exactly what should that distribution be in order to be fair. Be specific so we can discuss the difference. How is that a giveaway to the top earners?

If this fairness you seek was reached then what would be the distribution of income taxes the main federal tax people pay.

Your financial worth and ability to repay the amount loaned........................of COURSE they do. Why should they loan the money of the depositors to someone does not have the financial means to repay the loan? How is that protecting the deposits of the customers and capital of the investors?

Get off the federal income tax for crying out loud. Do you know what brainwashed means? Lol. Change the channel Google the only tax graph you need to know. According to IRS and other organizations, everyone is paying about 27% in taxes on average. A huge giveaway to the rich and the school job for you and your friends and family. Absolute GOP idiocy......

An individual is not a company. Apples and oranges. And Romney is now a hero of the left. Figures.

Rich people should pay about 40 to 50% at least, not 27% like today. Corporations used to pay 30% of the national tax now they pay 7%. Ridiculous. Romney is a hero only because he doesn't go along with the crap propaganda about stolen elections. He may be a greedy out of touch GOP mega rich dingbat but he is not crazy and totally misinformed or bought off. You are totally misinformed who has only talking points and double talk. Just like your heroes....

No, I don't. If the customer volunteers to meet the agreed obligations, and they meet the criteria in regards to income etc, there's nothing more a bank can (or should) do. More importantly, no one is forced to buy the bank's products. If a customer finds they don't like the terms, they're free to turn around and walk out at any time. Loans are caveat emptor, just like all other purchases. I personally don't like borrowed money, so I don't borrow. We're all free to make that choice, so we hold the power entirely. Banks cannot make us do anything we don't want to do.

Slaves were once ruled property. So what? The "it's legal" argument doesn't cut it. Sorry.

Banks do not lend out depositors' money. I have corrected your false claim on that point numerous times. Bank loan proceeds consist of newly created money, a new liability of the bank that balances the newly created loan asset.
The house is the mortgage collateral. The bank is counting on interest income until such time as the loan is defaulted and the bank can seize the asset.
By creating an interest income stream out of the borrower's legal obligation to pay it.

I already told you numerous times, and you ignored it and repeatedly claimed I had not responded: a fair distribution of the tax burden would be slightly more unequal than the distribution of wealth (as the measure of wealth is wealth, not income).

And yet that is exactly the "argument" you use to justify property in land...

The only "fair" tax is no tax.

As almost all the money in use consists of bank loan principal created in order to charge interest on it, we are obliged to use their "product" if we want to participate in the economy.

No, the only fair tax is one that is paid by those who benefit from government spending, in proportion as they benefit.

Which privileges like IP monopolies and land titles ensure there isn't.

However the REST of us prefer to have PAVED ROADS and RUNNING WATER as opposed to living in mud huts and fetching water by hand from a river.

All businesses that hold legal monopoly privileges exploit their customers, who "let" them because they are legally prohibited from accessing the opportunity any other way.

What nonsense. We remember what happened in 2008, even if you don't: the customers were cleaned out while the banks were bailed out.

My water bill is not a tax I am paying for a product and I believe the person to whom you responded was not talking user fees/excise taxes which pay for roads.
