Very interesting. You were going to make a case that CA leading the nation in poverty is the result of resources sent to other states.

As I said CA wouldn’t have any poverty if US GOV didn’t take their hard earn money away from them. But that is the story of America. Blue state/blue county generate 70% US economy and send those hard earn money to keep RED state lights on.

We are all US citizens. We all pay US federal taxes. It doesn't matter where we live, does it?

You have not been able to demonstrate that position. CA takes in abundant resources, has the highest taxes, and democrat super majority control. You are claiming that poverty is the result of the amount going to red states. (As if CA politicians would have used that money to pull people from poverty.)

So when liberal money goes to Red state , we are “all American”, but then when it comes to bash , “ we need to take back our America from those liberals”.

May be you want to play word game , but I have no interest in that. CA is the Top 5 Donor state which sends money to RED state to keep lights on. You can jump up and down and laugh about poverty in CA, fact is the reason most of the RED state has “Light’s on” is because Blue state sending their hard earn money.

But as always , human nature is “ bite the hand which feeds you” attitude. Nothing new! Same old s$$$ .

You're the one dodging a simple question. It does not appear you are able to defend your claim

California doesn't feed; it bleeds you. We pay the highest taxes and in return, we get crumbling roads, poor performing schools, homelessness, poverty, income inequality, and a lower quality of life for those dems claim to care about. Businesses and earners are fleeing CA for red states.

At what point do you hold your party accountable for results?

Federal income tax revenues are “liberal money”?

So with the 39 billion they don't get back, are you saying they could end poverty?

Sometimes I think the sound solution is to increase everyone's wages by a factor of ten. This is easily accomlished- just take a Sharpie and a
draw an extra zero on your dollar bills. Peice of cake, everybody now earns 10 times what they used to earn.

Don't forget to add an extra zero to the price of goods and services as well. Because- when minimum wage goes up, costs go up, and prices go up in direct correlation. Mminimum wage is not the magic solution, it is an illusion and nothing more than a magic trick.

I should have said "magic marker" instead of Sharpie. Just to tie the paragraphs together. Maybe someday I'll do something right.

Use it as your own, if you like. :)

Eating fast food, due to how expensive it is already, has become sort of a luxury. A $20 minimum wage will make it even more so.

Funny thing about Mickey D's- the price of Big Mac meal is usually right around one hour's minimum wage labor. Pretty close.

Now watch- the day after the $20/hr min. takes effect, a Big Mac will cost $20. Just you watch...

    Micky D's is not happy.

McDonald’s franchisee group says new California fast-food bill will cause ‘devastating financial blow’

The National Owners Association, an independent advocacy group of more than 1,000 McDonald’s owners, projects in the memo the bill will cost each restaurant in the state $250,000 annually. The group said the costs “simply cannot be absorbed by the business model.” It also warned similar legislation will follow in other states

A firm can't "pass on" their cost of goods sold. The price of their product is determined in the consumer market, and has nothing to do with how much their product costs to produce.

This is why firms go out of business.

What the duce does the corporation care? They don't pay the extra money. They simply pass the cost of wages on to the consumer- same as they did before the increase. If that don't get the job done then they close the business.

Two weeks ago I ordered 2 double whoppers with cheese (no mayo, hate the stuff) and 1 medium fries - $28.00.

I'm sure you're aware of who just loooooves McDonald's, right? Yep, pretty soon we'll be getting the high prices of fast food thrown in our face by Kamala Harris.

If a person can't get $20 per hour for their services, then it's on them to make themselves more valuable.
