Yelena's payment is an example of a public figure leaving a Russian individual off a sanctions list in favor of shuffling $millions through shell companies to a family member... which strangely no FARA violations were addressed and no tax's paid..... it seems it was more convenient for the DOJ to let the statute of limitations to run out that to pursue tax evasion charges...
