Wow. Trumpiblicans have now gone full anti-American, out loud. He has said he wants the economy to crash, and you say creating jobs is a bad thing. As if job creation inevitably prevents the Fed from fighting inflation.

    Trump’s job creation numbers;

Revised DOWN 500,000 jobs over the period from March 2018 to March 2019.

And back then, said huge revision was ignored by the Trumpers on this site.

You mean you are unable to respond with a mature, rational, reasoned answer. You just stomp your feet and hold your breath.
    We get it.

Do you have any response to the statistics cited in post 124?

Americans are maxing out their credit cards to compensate for their deficit. Credit card debt is at the highest it has ever been. Do you think fixing the inflation issue can be done without pain?

Proof is the inflation rate is still high. Biden's economic policy is not working. The Federal Reserve has been saying job creation is a problem for them. If too much money is put into the economy versus too view products inflation is the result. We have yet to see how the attacks on cargo ships in the Red Sea will negatively effect the US economy.

Consumer Confidence is high, which indicates people are not just trying to compensate, but consuming on all kinds of items, be it necessary or unnecessary. I play golf, and I have never seen golf courses so full. Boats, - a very expensive hobby, are lying off the shelves at an average price of $154,357.

Companies are hiring. Call it a problem if you must.

Hahahaha! Golf is a sport is generally considered a rich persons hobby. Businesses use golf when doing business with clients. You have no clue what the average person is dealing with in this trouble economy. There is a reason the economy is second behind the immigration issue in the majority of polls.

Policies that drive up the cost of living to the point where people have to find part-time second jobs and side-hustles to keep a roof over their heads...
All the people being laid off by struggling businesses are trying to find new jobs. Same people- but creating a statistic that implies employment is growing.
Meantime, retailers and manufacturers are shutting down because of the inability to survive under dem rules.

QUESTION; Have you seen the movie; AWAKENINGS?

Reason my asking; Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump, ALL had a surge of workers holding multiple jobs, and at a higher percentage than Biden’s 5.2% of total employed.

    WHY? Obviously, for financial reasons

Source; FRED Multiple jobholders as a percent of employed

No, it is not. It's very much an average Joe's hobby.

Nonsense. Businesses can do hundreds of things to interact with clients, and dining and wining is by far #1 thing. I have been playing golf since I was a teenager, so I know most golfers are average Joe's. Getting out to the golf course with your buddies, smoke a cigar and drink couple of beers is a perfect way to to deal with whatever you have on your mind. If you can't afford $30 to play golf, then you are in fact poor, and have played your cards very poorly. Of course people who failed at life love to blame someone else for it, but they really need to take a hard look in the mirror and ask why they don't gave $30 to enjoy themselves.

Yes. "The number of Americans working two or more jobs has reached its highest level since the pandemic’s start, new federal data show, a trend that suggests more of us are feeling inflation’s pinch." More Americans have two jobs or more, a sign of inflation's burden (usatoday.com)

Or how about this: More Americans have two jobs or more, a sign of inflation's burden (usatoday.com)

Or this: ‘I’m selling my blood’: millions in US can’t make ends meet with two jobs | US news | The Guardian

Or this: More American workers are taking on second jobs as inflation rages - CBS News

Highest level since the pandemic’s start......meaning as recently as in 2019 there were more people with multiple jobs than now. 2019 was supposed to be "the best economy on history of mankind". Did that change?

What does the story of a guy awakening from a liberal stupor through chemical treatments have to do with finance?

Because FRED’s Multiple Jobholders as a percent of employed, should wake people up to reality.

    Clinton’s highest percent; 6.5%

    Bush’s highest percent; 5.4%

    Obama’s highest percent; 5.2%

    Trump’s highest percent; 5.3%

    Biden’s current percent; 5.2%

And if FRED didn’t wake you up to reality, then perhaps at your next awakening, thus, in a few decades from now.

The subject is Americans with two or more jobs. All those links address exactly that.

Sure. It was shown that less than usual number of Americans work 2 jobs, which is the opposite of what you tried to argue.

Wages started outpacing inflation about a year ago.

And the percentage of people holding a second job was higher under previous presidents than it is today.

    Care to address that?
