Well the ones in mexico and south america we shouldn't even count since they are renowned for being cesspools of violence and drug cartels. There remain the cities of normal and civilized countries, the ones we should care for. I think there needs to be some improvement in terms of welfare and police training in the hottest areas, so that youngsters might avoid joining gangs for profit and the police officers know how to deal with gangs more professionally.

Correct, but ethnic isn't genetic. It's cultural. It wasn't that many years ago that people were talking negatively about Wops and Micks as being naturally degenerate. Heck, we have at least Russian here who says exactly that about Ukrainians.

People are people. Some people are more violent that others. You had your Ned Kellys and we had our Jesse James. Most Americans, like the world's 1.7 Billion Muslims, are peaceful and minding their own business. It's just a small percentage who make the news because they are asshats minding other people's business.

One major difference is that Australia, despite being as big as the US has less than 10% of the US population. Ergo, for every mass murderer you have, with identical mass murderer rates, the US will have 10 times more.. plus our news is better and much further reaching because, as you know, the US is much better than Australia at everything.

 

Yes it is. But you see,when people talk about race, i think they actually refer to the cultural group rather than the genetics itself. They say hispanics are violent, they actually refer to mexicans and south americans, because the spaniards from spain are rather different and much less violent.

And russians accusing ukrainians of being genetically inferior, well that's kinda stupid. They are the same genetic group so if ukrainians are dumb, so are russians...

 

Racism is stupid as are any assertions that there are significant genetic differences between human beings that make some more violent than others. It's all cultural.

Are there people genetically disposed to violence? Heck yeah! Are there entire "races" (a concept which modern genetics has found to be baseless) which are violent? No, there isn't.

 

Look at the images of the Nobel Prize winners.......and the people lining up for the 100 meter dash every Olympics and tell me again how there are not 'significant genetic differences between human beings'.........

 

It doesn't change the fact that people tend to use both race or ethnic group, or cultural group, intercheangeably. Most probably don't think that genetics is the problem, rather they blame a particular ethnic group.

The problem anyway is real, genetics or not... for example brazil has something like 50,000 homicides per year, many of them by gunfire. It is difficult to change a culture which has become so massively violent and corrupted.

Just so happens that all of the 'individuals' running the 100 meter happen to be black every Olympics........and almost all of the Nobel Prize 'individual' winners happen to be European descent individuals every year........just wildly random I guess.......

European cultural is very advanced at the moment. A fact that can change as easily as the fact the most advanced Western culture in the 9th to 12th Centuries was in Baghdad while most of Europe was wallowing in pig slop...commonly called the "dark ages". Less commonly the Euro Feudalism age. In short, don't blind yourself to history and believe anything lasts forever. The Greeks didn't last, the Egyptians didn't last, the Romans didn't last, the Spaniards didn't last, the French didn't last, the Brits didn't last, the Germans didn't last, the Soviets didn't last. With all that, what makes you think we'll last? Magic? Genetic superiority? False hope and lots of cheap liquor?
