    It's a splendid example....
    This is about:
When Assad does it: pure evil.
When America does it on a massive scale: it's fine...

    And indeed. You currently concur.
Your morality of killing civilians purely depends if your country does it, or if somebody else does it.
No doubt you're stricter for brown Muslims doing this against white Christians, than the other way around.
But lets not start there... let's leave it that plenty of others think like that.
Double standards and white privilege is written all over it. Don't make me laugh.

Actually, I'm an atheist and I have a thing for brown people, especially the feminine ones.
I get that you think I'm defending America, oh hell I'm not! But in fact, I only commented on the accuracy and pertinence of your exemples. In your first one it wasn't a US bombing, and in the second it was totally justified due to the actions of the Japanese during the war. I also said I'd be cool with it if those bombs would've been also dropped on Berlin and I'll also add Moscow also due to their actions during WW2.

Now you can cpontinue to pretend that I'm defending America, when I don't give a damn about it being Canadian and all, or you can acknowledge that your exemples sucked and find some new and better one.

This is not about you, but how it is in general.

It's totally not relevant that the US did not bomb that specific town, since the US bombed about every city in North Korea extensively purely to destroy and kill civilians. About every city, and most towns. That's how they end up tossing more bombs on that little 3rd world country than during WWII. And I indeed compare that to what Assad does, and we can all agree that a little barrel bomb is not really worth mentioning to what the US does.

On a personal note, you claim now you do not defend what the US did. But in the previous post you did exactly that. YOU support the policy that the military targets civilians. You were absolutely clear about it. And so I point out the hypocrisy between that kind of support for what the US did, while condemning Assad for doing something similar on a TINY scale as if it's bad and how could you's. And I add again, this is not about you... but how it is in general. In general, you see the west complaining about Assad and want him to be dragged to some court, and most of it's population wanting the same thing.... while they quickly turn the page on their own and far bigger atrocities.

North Korea invaded south korea, they were the aggressors and they didn't invade with chocolate and roses. The executed thousands of civilians in the process. Again, not a good exemple and one that goes against what your trying to prove.

No, that's you believing that I defend the US. The Japanese were again the aggressors and they did commit barbaric crimes against humanity in WW2 and so they deserved to be nuked twice. I again say that both Germany and the USSR should've been nuked also.

The two exemple of US hypocrisy that you could've used was their treatment of the native population and their occupation of the Philipine.

You missed glorifying the horrific February 13-15, 1945 Allied firebombing of the German cultural city of Dresden which was a sanctuary city filled to overflowing by civilian war refugees fleeing Bolshevik Stalin's brutal Red Army in the East.

American author Kurt Vonnegut, Jr [who was being held as a POW in Dresden at the time of the Allied firebombing] described the horror of men, women and children who had melted/died from the intense heat.

You guys burnt the place down, turned it into a single column of flame.

More people died there in the firestorm, in that one big flame, than died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined.

    Kurt Vonnegut Jr

The occupying Russians, when they discovered that we were Americans, embraced us and congratulated us on the complete desolation our planes had wrought. We accepted their congratulations with good grace and proper modesty, but I felt then as I feel now, that I would have given my life to save Dresden for the world’s generations to come. That is how everyone should feel about every city on earth.

    Kurt Vonnegut Jr

Dresden was a transportation hub and thus a military target. Beside, the Germans are the one who started the war in europe, they deserved what they got.

Dresden was the "transportation hub" for civilian war refugees fleeing America's ally = Bolshevik Stalin's brutal Red Army!

For over a century the USA has fostered revolution and war with impunity.

Americans won't be so gung-ho destroying others when the chickens finally come home to roost.

It was for both military and civilian purpose. The whole german logistics was based on trains and it's one of the reason they lost the war. They didn't have the fuel to feed a fleet of trucks from the railway depot to the troops who were advancing which is why they couldn't provide for said troops near Moscow or when they attacked Stalingrad. They had to relly on horse drawn waggons...

And I wouldn't shed a tear if the USA was brought down. I'm not american.

So one side kills 1000's of civilians by executing, and the other side deliberately carpet bombs civilians by the 10,000's burning them alive.
That makes it a terrible good example how the predominantly white western powers disregard their own atrocities.

Same thing with Assad. The predominantly white western powers condemn that little barrel bomb he drops on civilians,
while THEY dropped MASSIVE bombs on civilians by the 100,000's without a care in the world.

You are defending the US, by stating that Japan "deserved to be nuked twice". It's crystal clear, and you're not fooling anybody here.

It's a crime against humanity / a war crime to deliberately attack civilians,... PERIOD. It's absolutely irrelevant who started a war or what army commit war crimes first. That's just your stupid made up rule to whitewash policies of deliberatively massacring civilians by the predominantly white western powers.

It's not as if when Bernie Madoff ripped off my money, that I get just take the money from a random Jew to compensate. But that's your kind of logic when you regard "the Japanese" as all and the same not caring if they were in the army or an innocent civilian.

Ok, I see you don't want to actually discuss the subject but prefer instead to build up strawman and attack those. Back to the loony bin you go!

    Uhh... my point is:
When Assad does it: pure evil.
When America does it on a massive scale: it's fine...

And you are concurring with it. You are, since you're coming up with excuses why the US gets to deliberately target civilians on a massive scale to toss bombs on them.

No, you are the Nazis trying to say they are trying to save Europe from Jews/Bolsheviks, you are the Serbs trying to say they are trying to save the Balkans from Islamic Fundamentalism, you're trying to paint anyone who fights against your friend Assad as Osama Bin Laden because you don't believe in democracy.

Insults and name calling are not an argument for much. and you are projecting your perspective onto me.

You are the one who has been claiming the Islamic State were "moderates" - apologizing for your beloved El Saud - making absurd false claims ..

Syria is a shining star of freedom compared to El Saud - an your beloved Islamic State. and it is you who is against democracy.

The freedom loving people of Syria supported the side of Assad - the radical Islamists are the side that you support.

Down a dark twisted path you have gone.

No, I'm just drawing an apt analogy. ISIS were not moderates hence why the US and her Allies crushed them. Now, say you want to see the SDF win and replace Assad's dictatorship with a free and democratic society?

The SDF is not fighting Assad - and you know this .. but your brain can handle the fact that it was the Islamic State who was fighting Assad - and Obama was arming and supporting them in this effort - and so you repeat false narratives over and over like a parrot on a broken record.
