    Trump, Scott, Desantis and Haley.

Pence and Christie are just there to make some pocket money and waste everyone's time.

Anybody but Trump or Desantis I would probably at least take the time to look at. Right now I am planning to protest vote for RFK Jr. though.

Vivik is a Trump Lite and he is doing this to show Trump his "loyalty" and that he can make a good senior government executive as head of one of the agencies. That is all he is doing.

Donald J Trump is not going to the debate and be there. For one, I think he is scared of Chris Christie. Second, he may say things that get him into more legal trouble, and third, all of them will be going after Trump and pressuring him to not run because of those indictments, well most of them. Vivek will not say a word on the issue. The rest of the field will be similar to trump but each will try to show that they are also different to Trump in some ways. Nikki, DeSantis, and Tim Scott will use the debate to go after Biden in everything. But in the end, because Trump won't be there, at least he said he won't be there, it will be a very boring debate.

Tenuously like but have my disagreements with: DeSantis, Trump

Wrong direction for the party: Haley, Pence

I'd rather support an asteroid impact: Christie

    Haven't heard of: Vivek R, Tim S

I like Trump, but his age worries me.
    I like DeSantis a lot.
Pence is too mousey. Haley's ok... nothing special.
    Christie's a bum.
    Vivek is sharp...
Tim Scott is GREAT... but little name recognition.

Heck,,, we're over a year away ... some new name may pop up and win.

Seriously, anyone who thinks Haley, Pence or the Jersey Whale is remotely qualified to lead the country out of this Dem/RINO created mess, then I have a bridge to sell.

Chris Christy is to 2024 what John Kasich was to 2016.

in 2016 Kasich was the only candidate of the GOP ticket that has common sense and decency ..and of course was crushed by Qaloons and trumpers

Gone is Kasich and here is Chris Christy. Christy seems to have common sense and decency

    Christy will get crushed

with this said ..trump can only be denied the GOP nomination if he is forced to withdraw ..and even then millions will write in trump ..

My guess is despite desantos having a crazy and lame campaign , the Qaloons and trumpers will elect desantos for the GOP nomination.

Trump won’t debate ..no matter the results of a debate he can claim victory ..even when he ain’t there!! Only trump!!

the first round of debates wil not include many contenders for the GOP nomination

I am still looking for Yongkin and Abbott and Noem to run.

and Teddy Crude will announce before it is over

and the only thing keeping little
Marco Rubio and Rick Scott from running is desantos.

If desantos goes away for some reason you can bet your ass one of the 2 will run

    Nikki haley.
She's got good experience, especially foreign affairs.

And as a bonus the liberals would burst a vessel cause conservatives put the first woman president on the throne.

Hillary and Pelosi would stroke out.

A year and a half out, we're just pissing up a rope speculating. Current candidates may be gone and new ones may arise in a year and a half. We may be in total chaos. Gas may be $30/gallon. We may all have our guns and gas powered cars confiscated by then. Nuclear war may have us with a whole new nation (or lack thereof) by then.

You really believe that any speculation a year and a half out from the election in this totally volatile world is with spit?

    I agree with the above..

but the below quote was what I was referring.

We may be in total chaos. Gas may be $30/gallon. We may all have our guns and gas powered cars confiscated by then. Nuclear war may have us with a whole new nation (or lack thereof) by then.

Will you be starting with the prosecutor that brought the gun charges against Hunter Biden? After all less than 1/10th of one percent of those cases even go to court and only half of those get a conviction.

The only candidates of that group I would vote for are Vivek and Trump. The others are career politicians have likely been bought.

I'm interested in what Tim Scott has to say. Might possibly be okay with Christie, though that would have never occurred without the MAGA movement showing me just how bad Republicans can actually be, thus creating the contrast where Chris Christie is not a bad choice.

Above all, we need non-MAGA Republicans, moderates if possible. The Democrats need dealt a loss but not by replacing them with people equally as stupid like a MAGA moron would be.

I will not cast my vote for an idiot MAGA fool or a brainless progressive.

Hard to answer this question from a democrat point of view. The opposition always has a hard on for the candidate that is closest to their own view and ESPECIALLY will cause maximum disruption in the field. That is the reason there is/was an inexplicable support for Tulsi Gabbard from the right (clearly none of these people had ever read her policy). So, although it amuses me that Christie is out there slamming Trump and has some pretty good repartie (much sharper than Trump) he is not a real candidate for the right, so let's discount him.
    DESPICABLES
Trump is just an awful human being and has damaged the American spirit almost beyond repair
Desantis could have run as a reasonable version of Trump, but has instead chosen the cray cray version of Trump. he would have been in my list of plausibles, had he not **** the bed so badly.
Pence's only redeeming quality is that he didn't commit an unconstitutional act. His biggest role as VP was running the COVID task force. So...no
    PLAUSIBLES
Nikki Haley. Despite her constant finger in the wind attitude towards Trump which shows no courage, actually seems like a reasonable person
Tim Scott. I don't know that much about him. He did seem to make a legitimate cross aisle proposal on police reform, even if it did not pan out (politics is politics). I was very upset with his declaration that America suffers from no systemic racism while running on his personal story of the racism that affected his family, their opportunities, and his personal life. (Just watched a few YouTube videos of him talking about the issue. NOT impressive). From viewing some videos recently, he certainly has no charisma and is not quick on his feet, but I never hold that against a candidate
    UKNOW
Vivek. Will have to look into.

I guess If I were a voter, I would opt for Ramaswamy. He is very bright and unfettered by having been in political office before. But really none of them address my only consideration which is that what I want from government is less of it. So I will remain a non voter until someone in the future understands that America's biggest problem and challenge is its national government. At least Ramaswamy understands America's second biggest problem which is China.
