Why does the left keep repeating the canard that they are the same?

    Good question.

I'd say (at least in part) because we're talking about the same people who don't realize that their Nissan Leaf is actually being powered by "evil" "fossil fuels"... They don't understand the full process of things.

In this case, they can see that (in both instances) they are being mailed and are subsequently mailing back a ballot. What they don't see is the completely different process that leads up to them receiving said ballot (and the different requirements for such).

But then again, these are typically people who outright reject logic, science, mathematics, history, economics, engineering, etc...

If you think elections are entertaining just wait for the entertainment awaiting you after this year's election. Legal fees could to into the billions.

It doesnt matter how 'warp speed' the states move, if the mail can't handle that capacity then mail voting is F'd. It currently can't.

Why not just increase voting station open hours so people can go in without being a crowd? Social distancing works for the rest of our daily activities, no reason voting should be any different if we increase accessibility times.

Well, if it does go past noon on January 20, 2021, then the Constitution states the Speaker of the House shall assume that office. If that doesn't make you reach for the Pepto Bismol (or stronger!) then nothing will.

Time to start finding competent honest impartial people to get this sorted out, starting with this little paradox.

The left says Trump's buddy running the Post Office is somehow affecting the vote by cost-cutting and reorganization efforts he's put into place. These are the same postal union people who also endorse Joe Biden. He'll allow them their accustomed sloppy work habits, insane bureaucracy and multiple layers of deadweight, just us wait and see!

It wasn't for me at where I voted. Precincts were segregated by bedsheet-barriers hung on wires off the rafters and every possible precaution taken for both the workers and the voters. Your "pandemic" is the non-starter, affecting only one-fourth of one percent of the global population. It is safe for people to come vote.

The Electoral College will vote on the designated day. Even if the state counts have not been completed, in those states the state legislature will appoint the slate of electors so their STATE can cast it's votes. The STATES elect the President not the People.

That was all before all of this and yes the USPS needs to cut cost to remain viable, it needs to find something besides collecting and sorting mail as year after year the volume declines

I'm all for mail in voting knowing the 76% of Republicans will cast their votes at polling stations and the balance have had absentee ballots for years now. Any hopeful mail in are just extra votes.

If the majority of Democrats trust their vote to ballot harvesters and USPS, there isn't anything stopping them in 35 states.
