Basically it will be Star Trek's future. Now before you all go beating on me as hopelessly woke please notice that I don't see anything above (I didn't read them all) that addressed what I think will be the major development of mankind's history that we will see in the next hundred years. The End of Scarcity and the second major development, the End of Death. Basically we will all be able to have just about everything we want and we will all live forever. Nanotechnology will give us the first and Organ Cloning (NOT people cloning, that may never be permitted and wouldn't be used to extend life anyway) will give us the second. There's also Robotics and several other things like commonplace Space Travel but these are the major two and trends in both of these areas are such that seeing them in well under a century is very likely. And if we have those things all bets are off. I can't tell what our lives would really be like but a Star Trek existence wouldn't be unlikely
My prediction is an aristocracy. The super wealthy global capitalists will be/are already, adopting transhumanism. They will enhance their bodies with technologies and enhance their offspring with gene editing. In five generations or so it will be debatable if the decedents of the the super wealthy will be human. The most advanced of these technologies will be reserved for a ruling clique with limited amounts available to their functionaries and factotums. All production will be automated; the bulk of humanity will be euthanized as useless consumers except for a few to be kept as pets or for experimentation.
You may not be too far off. I think the next biggest development will indeed be in bio technology, more specifically this... ...artificial wombs. Goodbye Roe v Wade, not because of legislation, but because there will be an alternative that will literally knock the abortion debate out of the park.
It depends who wins the coming battle, If radical islam wins then we will see a world where sharia law rules. if the communists win you will see something similar to current day South Africa, mass corruption, crime escalate, starvation & poverty, Chinese style mass surveillance with social score & persecution, rape & child abuse as well as the deterioration of families, with a small elite sitting at the top who are extremely wealthy who has the ability to kill anyone who challenges them...(I'm not nearly finished but you get the idea). If the Free market white Christians win you will eventually see prosperity return after many years of war. The most likely scenario is not all or nothing, some parts of the world will change dramatically as they lose the battle but likely each party will end up with a stronghold...somewhere that's my guess standing in front of an unopened door
I forgot to add, I see the Bitcoin replacing the US$ as reserve currency, not the Yuan which have also been printed into oblivion
Oh come on... I was hoping someone would take the bait. Fine I'll do it myself... have to do everything around here. What about the race war? The black lives? Why do they not feature in my future? Because black lives are tools, cannon fodder for the radical islamists & communists in their war against the free market Christians, and this is entirely due to African leaders allowing the internationalist/the globalist to corrupt them, and steal their people's future... their ability to be relevant or anything other than fodder in this future conflict....Obama included. Also can all parties to the conflict at least agree we get rid of the globalists, the few who are funding all sides and responsible for this mess before we start?
Let me add, I consider the use of black lives as a tool, unethical.... so you can stick me full of labels until you are blue in the ^&*%^&%*ing face... what you are doing by using black people are unethical
Nope. My wife had cancer relatively young (she survived and beat it) but kids were never an option. I understand the sentiment though because not having kids has given me a different outlook than most.
Honestly people I'm pissed and I'll tell you why. Black people are led to believe the globalists and international communists who "liberated" and fund their left wing riot activities are their friends... and everyday conservative white people like myself are racists. believe me... any level of racist I could possible be... I have nothing on these globalists & international communists who pretend to be the black man's friend, funder & mentor. Because manipulating an entire race into a position where millions and millions of them will starve and suffer to death, is beyond racist... it is evil
China will have achieved world hegemony. I hope by then that the Chinese mainland will have adopted a democratic government, and developed a non coercive way to control population growth. The population of Japan is gradually declining. The United States, and the West in general, will be in a pronounced state of decline due to the immigration of third world peoples. If Russia keeps those people out, Russia may have regained super power status. There is a good chance we will have detected radio broadcasts from civilizations on other planets. However, the distances from them to us will be too long to permit two way communication, to say nothing of space travel. Computer technology and automation will have eliminated jobs most people have the intelligence to learn. This could lead to an increase in leisure. I am afraid the outcome will not be benign.
I remember reading a long time ago when I was a youngster a futurist predicting that we would need to only work a few weeks per year and spend the rest of our leisure time to do as we wish. I know it was wrapped in a logical argument, and surely seemed plausible to me at the time, but why would you think that future scenario would not be benign?
Someone once objected to Keynesian economics by observing the catastrophic failure it would entail in the long run. Keynes replied "in the long run we are all dead." Keynes was a homosexual.
I see the future of the US leaning more toward socialism, but more a form of democratic socialism. And it won't take 100 years to achieve it. But that's just me being an optimist!
Unfortunately that guides a lot of public policy in the West. Doesn't seem the case in the East. They plan for the long term.
As I see it, it will be both 'authoritarian' and 'socialistic'... very much like the situation described by George Orwell in his landmark masterpiece, "1984". But, with the choices provided, I voted "authoritarian", because the future will require a strong-arm government. We will have to have an 'authoritarian' government because people have no discipline or control. They're badly educated, with less and less value in the human workforce because of their laziness, ignorance and stupidity, and, because there's way too many of them. Hint: today, there's 7,800,000,000 people in the world. In 1990, just 30 short years ago, it was less than 5,300,000,000. Think about it.... Thus, masses of people are now harder to regulate and control -- a growing, impossible situation for any kind of republic, or, 'democracy'. Today, people want to lay around on their indolent asses, play with their phones, and let the government take care of them... SO -- the government will do exactly that -- and that's where the 'socialism' part comes in... but it will be heavily regulated and policed! Any doubts? Just re-read "1984", with great focus on the part called, "The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism".
