Man, they need to nail these people to the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing wall...

Religion, and faith, and all that is fine and dandy...

Pray for your child, by all means...

But, dammit, you have a responsibility to your child to see for their well-being...

By failing to seek medical for, not one, but two children, who have both now died, they failed to do so, and, deserve the most severe punishment that they can be given...

Man, nothing pisses me off more than a (*)(*)(*)(*)ty parent...

It is called Murder, put them on trial, sentence them, then throw them into general population, done.

Reminds me of: ( taken from another post on a different website so I didn't have to type it all)

One day it began to rain very heavily. It kept raining and a big flood came.
The man climbed up on the roof of his house, and knew that he would be ok. God would protect him.

It kept raining and now the water had reached his waist. A boat came by and a guy in the boat said: “Hey, jump in. We will take you with us”.
“No thanks”, said the man. “I’m a firm believer in God. He will rescue me”. He sent the boat away.

It kept on raining and now the water had reached his neck. Another boat came by and a guy in the boat said: “You look like you could need some help. Jump in and we will take you with us”.
“No”, said the man. “I’m a firm believer in God. He will rescue me. Don’t worry about me”. The boat sailed away.

It still rained and the water now reached his mouth. A helicopter came by and a guy in the helicopter threw down a rope and said: “Hi there my friend. Climb up. We will rescue you”.
“No”, said the man. “I’m a firm believer in God. He will rescue me. I know he will”. The helicopter flew away.

It kept on raining, and finally the man drowned.

When the man died, he went to heaven. When entering Heaven, he had an interview with God.
After giving a polite greeting and sitting down, the man asked: “Where were you. I waited and waited. I was sure you would rescue me, as I have been a firm believer all my life, and have only done good to others. So where were you when I needed you?”
God scratched his confused looking face and answered: “I don’t get it either. I sent you two boats and a helicopter”.

Yep. Advances in our ability to heal are also the work of God, to every Christian I know...

Not sure why they would eschew things revealed through the application of intellect..also a gift from God.

I have to wonder what condition these children are living in in which two of their children died from illness. Third world countries living in the outback have a better track record.

It's actually child neglect. Their intent was not to kill.

I was wondering the same thing.

DITTO! My sentiments exactly.....I am a Christian, but have a real serious problem w/these "Christians" who'll let themselves be brain-washed to believe 'it was God's will' for my child to die......

No, it's not 'God's will' - it's their own ignorance and willingness to be brain-washed into believing this crap, failing to understand that mankind was given the intelligence to solve our problems w/illness and diseases.

They should sit in prison for the rest of their lives and pray to get out and see what happens.... it won't be 'God's will' for those killers to be set free.

Looks like finding foster parents for the remaining children will be an important matter now. That couple's negligence needs to be put to a permanent end...

It might be God's Will that one's child dies, but that does not mean one does not fight for EVERY CHANCE to PRESERVE that Life, which is Sacred.

You know, that's about how I see it...

Faith is a good thing, but why would one assume that proper medical care is not an answered prayer from God?

    - - - Updated - - -

    Exactly...

I don't see why some people have such a problem accepting this...

I'm guessing it's that some people have such a low view of themselves and their fellow human beings that they feel compelled to disassociate God from Man. I dare say Jesus would be sorely disappointed with that outlook - it's not consistent with anything he taught his flock and sacrificed himself for...

Like the Jehovah Witnesses not believing in blood transfusions...

One day I was visiting w/a friend who's a JW and forgetting she was one, the conversation turned to blood donations. She reminded me of her religion and said they don't believe in donating blood b/c 'blood is very precious'..... well yeah, it is - it can save lives.

After a few minutes of thinking bout her comment, I said "I need to ask you this..... (she had a 5-6 yr old grandson she adored) - "if your grandson got deathly sick and the only thing that was 100% guaranteed to save his life was a blood transfusion, would you want him to have one?" No answer - not a word. And I dropped the subject. I hope I gave her some food for tho't, but don't know..........

Reminds me of a joke - A policeman knocks on a door and warns the man in the house a tidal surge is expected and best he exacuate. The man explains he believes in God, and God will save him

Hours later as the water is rising a an emergency team arrives and tries to evacuate the man. Again the man says God will save me

Finally a guy come past in a boat and tries to rescue the man from the roof of his house. Again the man refuses - God will save me

Predictably the man drowns, and being a good Christian he goes to heaven. When he gets there he asks God. I was a true believer I did everything you asked, yet in my time of need you did not save me

God looks at the man and says "I tried three times"

Nowhere in the Gospel does Christ extoll Christian to REFUSE medical assistance...quite the contrary.

Did Christ teach that the Good Samaritan should have just LET THE BEATEN MAN die?

I think not...these teachings against using the healing knowledge God has afforded Man, are the teachings of MEN , not the Gospel.

    - - - Updated - - -

Indeed....it does not take a Burning Bush to see God's Hand in our lives; we must merely BOTHER to SEE It....

Manslaughter IS Murder, they may not have intended to kill the child but their actions were the cause, try em throw into the prison population they will be done really quick.
