Der Spiegel was one of the first newspapers to run the Wikileaks and Snowden files.

    How do you explain that?

First, yes. Second, spats between Asian nations go on all the time over this or that disagreement.

You should really not try to disparage Israel, Egypt, Pakistan and Afghanistan in such a manner. Which is where you spend most of your money propping up tyrannical regimes.

    Oops, I disparaged. :boxing:

There are no major consverative Christian voices in German media outlets. Zero.

Der Speigel may be a hair less radical than in the past, but still liberal. The Wikileaks affair was aimed to be anti-American.

Can you name even one Conservative Christian in a top leadership/ownership/editoral postion on any German TV station?

When are the mass arrests in Connecticut gonna happen?

Can the national Democrat party withstand the backlash?

It seems that what we need here is someone who lives in Conn., and is interested enough in the whole mess to bring us back to THE SUBJECT. What does German media have to do with this? I keep coming back to this thread to see if anything is new with the 300,000 gun owners, and I see more here about Europe than Conn. ???????

'Tis international solidarity thing. Good Germans are welcoming of Connecticut's ambitions to reach the standards of the German 4th Reich.

I still believe we should ask the State legislature regarding what is necessary to the security of a free State.

    Oh my, letshavelunch!
You spin a very telling phrase in that! The trouble is that Germany appears to be predisposed to proceeding with unquestionable purpose in the dominance of Europe, by whatever means. In America, we can't even organize an entire high school football team who all agree where the goal posts are, and how to find them.

Unquestionable dominance? I hadn't thought of that.

    France would like that. :teddy::teddy::brushteeth:

That's just one more example of how gun free zones do not work.

Very well, sales of assault weapons went throughout he roof just prior to the ban. There were lines out the door to buy AR's when they were available and the gun shop required a pistol permit to sell one just to keep the flow going. Without the permit there a two week waiting period. Due to supply and demand they decided cash and carry, permit holders only.

Speaking of permits. The new laws in Ct require a special permit to purchase ammunition. Another special permit to purchase a long gun and as before a concealed weapon pistol permit to buy a handgun.
The Carry permit negates the need for either of the other permits and the waiting period.
Obviously, if you have to jump through hoops to get 2 permits you might as well just jump through one and get the pistol permit. Connecticut residents enmass are filing for concealed handgun permits. By this time next year I imagine half the state will be walking around with a pistol on their person.

The constitutionality of these laws is in question and going through the courts. Citizens are arming themselves at a rate never seen before and gun manufacturers are moving out of the state.
I can't for the life of me see how anyone of any ideology can see these laws as a good thing.
On the right we lost the ability to buy many rifles and some shotguns but now were armed to the teeth and walking the streets. The leftists now must walk amongst all the newly armed they themselves created.

If ct gun owners begin carrying openly which is legal but discouraged the left just may help overturn their own moronic laws.

Same thing has been true in CA since 1988. they KNOW that 150k CA residents have assault rifles that they have not registered, an 8 year felony. CA only has 200k prison beds, and all of them are FULL. CA authorities know who those people are, know where they live, but they don't want to get shot trying to enforce this law. :)

if those 300,000 have any SENSE, they will LEAVE CT, and starve the tyrants for the lack of tax money. Plus wherever they go, say TX, will benefit from the tax income, and be even MORE prone to welcome gunnees. :) average income being 50k per year, and the state getting about 1/3rd of that, with all the taxes, that'll hurt plenty.5 billion $ per year in lost revenue NEVER to return. Oh yeah, that would get NOTICED all right! :)

Tyranny exists in EVERY nation that has laws against Holocaust Denial, for example. You don't know any country like that, do you?

Tyranny exists in EVERY nation that makes it illegal to "offend groups" in published media, like Canada and Not-So-Great Britain does.

Tyranny exists in EVERY nation that registers or forbids gun ownership. You don't know any nations like those, do you?

    The 200 million dead...

    China
    Russia
    Germany

killed the vast majority of them.

And they were all "civilized" before they were infected with socialism.

Naturally, no nation infected with socialism is civilized. Civilized societies respect human rights, such as freedom of speech and gun ownership.

    "Good Germans"?

We all knew what Hitler meant by that....it probably hasn't changed much. "Blind obedience to the Masters, and defenders of the True Faith."

Herr Gerbils isn't. He lives on in the American medea, and so certainly lives on in yours, too.
