There's no denying that money and business interests are keeping the extent of this problem, hidden from public view.

It's unbelievable that this crap could go on for 20 years and have 368 victims. I didn't read the entire article, it's quite long, but how could this stuff go on for so long with not one kid telling her parents? Now I'm wondering if the parents ignored any possible claims of abuse by the kids in order to avoid being kicked out of the gym.
Are "religious nuts" controlling the media or gyms across the US? I'm equal opportunity when it comes to punishment for crimes. Race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation doesn't matter. If somebody is sexually abusing children, then after a fair trial, throw them in prison or put a bullet in their head. My guess is that most religious nuts will agree with me.

Doesn't surprise me at all that both boys and girls are molested . Nothing wrong with the sport of course, but it seems is there is little supervision between athlete and coach and being training is pretty hands on at points....... it's gonna cause some freaks to come out of the dark and push their limits. - - - Updated - - - Yeah, especially the ones where they have bathing suit contests. Parents are naive and negligent for allowing their kids to be alone with coaches and teachers. I'm a baseball instructor and coach. I would never put myself in a position of being alone with any child. Parents, tell your coaches you've heard of this general rule of thumb, and insist the coach or teacher make that commitment to you and your child, to never be alone with them.
