I would like to extend a big shout out to the redneck in the large 4x4 today that flipped me off, called me a "(*)(*)(*)(*)ing (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)", and then sped away whiel I was riding my bike. Whilst I do not know for sure if you were a redneck, I assumed so from the cut off white and the metallic testicles hanging form your trailer hitch. Another contributing factor was there were three guys in a single cab truck, probably trying not to accidentally bump each others thighs and hence be considered homosexual. I have to ask, why the "(*)(*)(*)(*)ing (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)"? I was the one, alone in my lycra, nothing to protect me from you, yet you deemed me somehow less than tough and masculine. Shouldn't the "(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)" be the guy who had two friends with him and shouted as he was safely driving away? You had the large truck, two friends, and probably a case of ringworm caught from making out with your sister, so what were you afraid of? I have to question you redneck, was this all you have in life? Shouting at people on bikes? Calling them names and driving away? Heading to the single wide? Perhaps visiting your meth dealing parents in county jail? Tell you what Mr. Redneck. Why don't you next time stop your truck and say it to my (*)(*)(*)(*)ing face? Afraid lycra is catching? Afraid of being turned on by a man in better shape than you?
This is to the INCONSIDERATE SLOB who was in front of me at the drive-thru prescription pick up window yesterday! First he tosses out a 24 oz Bud Lite can right in front me... then he proceeds to 'roll' the innards out of a blunt out the window & hand it to his g/f for further processing. Pops open ANOTHER 24 oz before he made it to the window. Did I mention handicap plates on the old clunker he was driving? Or the fact that he was black? Some mother(*)(*)(*)(*)ers just have no (*)(*)(*)(*)ing respect.
Congratulations on yet another hateful and bigoted post, where you attribute character to melanin content.
LOL, and the OP wasn't hateful & bigoted? Oh I forgot... rednecks are white people, so you're excused for going on and on and on about rednecks, huh? Gotta luv the double standard, TFM. I was ticked off, too... and tempted to call him in for drinking & driving. Should I have turned a blind eye (which I did) because he's black?
The thread is yours. I duly concede. Go ahead and continue to spout bigoted nonsense. I will not stop you from displaying your thoughts.
I only experienced one unpleasant encounter with a rude, disrespectful person this week. Sorry his being black is so upsetting.
It really is shameful that some folks think it's okay to be jackasses - either in their cars or on internet forum boards - isn't it? coming here to rant about someone who drove by and yelled some nasty thing - seriously - like the other guy said "get over it."
Boring ..... you get on a forum to curse, scream and cry over an incident of some one being rude to you earlier .... is this all you have in life? Get over it........
Actually, it was TFM's lame attempt to sterotype all people who ride in pickups...you know, the bitter clingers...the cursed REDNECKS who dared to be rude to him, while he was alone in his lycra... *sniff*
It may be something simple.Like maintaining a distance of ONE FOOT from the white line at the side of a lane.I know that Bicylist in Louisville proper have no concern over that law.I'm amazed at the Liberal attitude most Bicyclist adopt in the city of Louisville. The reason I know this is also simple. Before my old man Died, back in the mid-1990's I was living off my meager savings, having No creditors and selling my almost new GMC Truck in order to survive another couple years w/o working.I bought a Mountain bike a few years earlier and then traded in for a newer model.I no longer had a vehicle.I used the mountain bike around town for all my shopping needs. But when I was on a busy thoroughfare I knew the bike rule.Bikes travel WITH Traffic as opposed to Joggers { against traffic } and have a responsibility to stay within a FOOT of that white line that is stripped on roads near the shoulder. I bet you probably don't follow that One Foot rule.
I would like to extend my love to two people - the woman in front of me in line at Kroger this afternoon, and the Kroger grocery store. Ran into Kroger to buy a few things to go with dinner - cheese, milk, and some pet food. Had a carry basket with 8 items in it, I'm headed for the register, and when I'm less than 50' from it, some bimbo with a cart loaded with groceries zooms up and begins unloading her merchandise on the conveyer. First - common courtesy is that if you have a cart full of merchandise and you see the person behind you only has a few items, you let them go ahead of you. Secondly (and most importantly) - this was the "20 Items Or Less" checkout lane!!! After the bimbo is done, and I'm checking out, I ask the cashier why she didn't tell the bimbo to find a different checkout lane - to which her reply was "I can't, it's against company policy." Company policy? Why have a sign that says "20 Items Or Less" on the lighted pole above the checkout lane if you're not going to abide by it? Kroger sucks the snot out a dead man's nose, and I hope the bimbo's ice cream bars melted in the car on her way home!
I find I tend to have problems with cyclists taking up half the road, and refusing to ride in the bike lanes. Where you in the bike lane, TFM? If this guy just randomly insulted you then I'd be pissed off as well, but if you were in his way, then... Since everyone is griping about this, that and everything else, I might gripe as well, so as not to feel left out. I was driving down a busy highway the other day, coming home after a day in town, and this bloody cyclist decided that instead of riding in the bike lane (which is provided) he'd ride to the right of the white line, half in the road, where my car happened to be. We stop at a red light and when we moved off, he stayed in the middle of the road, and I had to indicate and move into the other lane to avoid the idiot. Cyclists might cop a bad rap, but in my experience, the vast majority of the time, its deserved. That's not to say the incident you experienced was deserved, TFM.
