There was no indication for the officer to believe that those were the kids the store called about, was there? Yes, he was told there was fighting and a gun - and that is cause for concern. But he found a group of black kids walking down the street and he approached them with a raised gun. I'd say that would make onlookers a little more than concerned.

None that we're told of - but then the article seems to be more invested in painting the police officer as a white robed demon and the crowd of residents as anointed saints than in presenting us the entire story. Maybe it was just police intuition, maybe that officer knew his community and spotted familiar faces, either way the response was likely proper as a situation with firearms needs to be controlled.

Sounds like a standard police interaction when there is a gun involved and there was, fortunately a bb gun.

    This is the sad part.

""I thought I was gonna die because I've seen all these black kids dying and to have myself in that, it was just crazy," Kamari Moore, one of the teens involved"

The media has been trying to convince these kids the cops are gunning them down all day. And its working.

The fact that someone thought this was even worthy of an article just illustrates what is wrong with our media today. They're trying to stoke outrage and build hype over nothing. There is literally nothing wrong with this police officer's actions.

And it wasnt even mistaken identity, they did have a bb gun and threw it in the bushes. Non story being turned into a story because the media has an agenda to divide the races.

Fantastic, what would have happened if whilst the officer was distracted these yobbos had pulled a gun on him or snatched his own off him?

So basically, the cop was correct. He was told their were teens with a gun, he found the teens that had the gun and treated them like they had a gun. The teens tried to avoid being arrested by throwing the evidence away. So obviously the cop is the bad guy and the criminal who was brandishing a realistic looking gun is the good guy. So speaks liberal logic in their own version of insanity where good and evil are reversed.

My original post on this thread was about a cop pulling up to a group of kids, gun drawn, with no evidence they were the ones called about. They were on a different street. I asked why it was necessary to emerge from his car - gun drawn - without any evidence that this was the same group of kids.

How on earth would he know they threw it in the bushes unless he was right there? Maybe Superman's X-Ray vision failed him.

Would you have the same reaction if the cop was black and the kids were white?

I would say the onlookers here who have no right to interfere with this police officer could have turned this into a dangerous situation. These WERE the kids and they admitted they had gun. The officer handled it correctly and thankfully the kids followed his clear commands to them and no one got hurt.

Exactly, what "all these black kids dying". How many black kids have died at the hands of the police this year, last year, last 5 years? I can think of one and he had a toy gun on him he had made to look like a real gun was pointing it people and when the police arrived pointed it at them.

And he knew they had thrown it, what looked like a real firearm, in the bushes how?

If intel says they may have a gun, you treat the situation as if they have a gun. Saying the cop should not have had his gun drawn is ignorant. The cop’s safety is more important than their feelings.

He had reasonable suspicion and for all we know had been given descriptions And they were walking down THE street not a different street.

"When an officer arrived at the store, police said, the teens were no longer there but were spotted shortly after, walking down the street."

    I really think you should.

So I guess this youth is more in tune with the police/child killings that happen regularly every day in his neighborhood.

The media withholds that info to protect us from white guilt?
