    Liz Cheney.
She could even perhaps put the Republican party back on the road to national prominence. While she is far too conservative for my tastes she at least has a belief in law, fairness and equal justice. She has berated white supremicists in Congress from her own party and the former president for his disrespect of the law. In the primary race she'd smoke all but T**** until he goes to prison then clear sailing. It might even encourage some district candidates to step up against the less desirable members in congress.
I wouldn't like her normally but it would be nice to see a push for sanity in DC.

Cleaning up the CESSPIT formerly known as the GOP requires wearing BIOHAZARD suits and that is just the PHYSICAL squalor.

The MAGA xtofascist MINDSET is beyond redemption, unfortunately.

A better move for the likes of Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger would be to just START the New Republican Party from SCRATCH.

Put together a party platform that embraces GENUINE Conservativism and include SAFEGUARDS against the Xtofascists being allowed to join or influence the NRP.

There are still genuine conservatives who will join and support the NRP.

Trying to rescue what has become the Goon Squad on Steroids is a fools errand IMO.

Fidelity to the Constitution, speaking out about Trump's lawlessness, holding her fellow Repubs to a high moral standard, these things make her a pariah in today's POT.
If there is to be a serious challenge to the Orange Messiah I think it will have to come from Nikki Haley. Christie, miniTrump, and the rest of the pretenders should endorse her immediately. Realistically though, I don't believe anything can stop the 4 times indicted human wrecking ball.

What a joke! She has pissed off the entire Republican Party, and she would have the support of Democrats only as long as she could get the GOP nomination. Then the Democrats would chew her up like rat terrier with a rag doll.

Oh ye of little faith. When T**** goes to jail, not likely, or flees US jurisdiction, very likey, it should open the door wide for sanity to get a grip. Even Fox news will toss their support for the radical right and focus on the more popular Republicans.

Pair her with Hogan, and I could a winning pair, even if they don't do the Republican ticket per sé.

Doubt I would agree with her much, but at least she's proven she has enough integrity to stand up to Trump and his army of clone morons. The same goes for Pence and those few Republicans who've dared speak out against him publicly. What ones are left anyway. Much of the GOP does not tolerate dissent against God-Emperor Trump, even though they know he's a toxic piece of **** and will say so in private.

She won't have a chance though. There are too many Trump obsessed folks out there still for her to win.

When the words "Sentencing will be made in two weeks" T****'s plane will be lining up on the runway.

You might want to start preparing yourself for the very real possibility that Trump is back in the white house in 2024. Going to be a whacky election.

Given that the judge can ORDER Inmate P01355809 to APPEAR in court to hear the VERDICT the judge can REVOKE bail on a GUILTY verdict.

The Flight Risk is real and a PRUDENT judge would NOT allow that opportunity to happen.

Starting his SENTENCE prior to the actual sentencing just means he ends up being ELIGIBLE for parole sooner rather than later. There is no "right" to release on bail prior to sentencing, entirely up to the judge's discretion to the best of my knowledge.

As I recall that Harris Polling is BIASED because it is using Landlines for 2/3rds of the polling.

The Mental Midget would need to be ahead by 20+ to have a chance because those single digits are actually a sign of WEAKNESS in his CORE constituency.

And what did she do to achieve that? She was faithful to the Constitution and therefore disloyal to Trump.

Perhaps, but I think you are vastly underestimating how unpopular Joe Biden is.

Not in the least, Biden is not a shoo-in against a VIABLE GOP candidate. The problem is that there is NO such thing as a viable GOP candidate.

The DEMOGRAPHICS of 2024 favor the Dems and I have seen NOTHING that indicates that the Goon Squad have anything to offer to sway the majority of the electorate to vote AGAINST their own interests.

Correct. She (Cheney) was all in on impeaching President Trump. Ever notice how many republicans vote with the democrats yet I can't think of a single democrat who votes republican. Manchin and Sinema are close, but they are more independent. In fact Sinema is an Independent.

Why would you think that makes her a good Republican.
When was the last time a R voted someone that believes in those things.

    Not since at least 2016.

The problem with Liz Cheney is the Trump/MAGA Republicans wouldn’t vote for her. She would be attractive to independents, but winning independents wouldn’t be enough to put her in the white house. With Democrats voting against her, for their own candidate along with the Trump/MAGA faction either voting third party or not voting at all, she’d be doomed. The Trump/MAGA faction would rather see Biden reelected than Cheney win the white house.

The number of T**** MAGA Republicans will plummet when he fleas the country, laughing at the people pouring millions into his bankruptcy proof PAC funds.
