Well, if she is making more than the $75000/year that she would have to make to not get any subsidy, she can afford it.

But she is not, but of course this hit piece will not educate anyone or even MENTION about how the Affordable Care act makes it possible for people to pay the premiums for REAL health insurance.

We can also note that the average annual increase of premiums is 10-18%, yet this employer very specifically does NOT mention whether or not he increased the company's contribution this year.

We can be quite sure if he HAD increased his company's contribution, he would be crowing about it. But why should he keep up with the usual medical inflation? Its much more convenient to Blame Obama!

One excuse for spreading this universal misery around was "we have to insure all the uninsured" But that is not touted as success - even them the uninsured are not in a big hurry to sign up for this crap.

But I fear, give Obama and the democrats long enough time to tweak with Obamacare, and people will get used the new expensive, low standard.

The "low standard" the American people have been having is for insurance that insures less and less so they could afford it.

The "choices" that Republicans are demanding people be able to keep is the "choice" of buying crippled insurance at slightly lower prices and deductibles thatregularly leave an enormous numbers of people screwed when they need it..

Plans that pay only for generic drugs, plans that don't pay for hospitalization or only a "fixed cost" like $400/day, which is a joke at about 10% of the REAL cost. Or plans that exclude cancer, or kidney dialysis or won't pay for important tests and so many other BS games the insurance companies play that leaves people bankrupt and sick and untreated when they truly get sick or injured.

In the last 10 years, we have seen the advent of plans that working people PAY their employers for that have annual maximums of benefits as low as $5,000!!!! UnBelievable! And MILLIONS of Americans call carp like that "health insurance".

Yet Republicans think that kind of idiocy is worth keeping when all it is is a fool's game - a way for employers and insurance companies to collect more and more money for less and less coverage. And people belive their garbage until the day they are screwed, but then it is too late.

Your talking about American people is getting real old real fast... Here's one of the American people, and I'm telling you, my new policy is not as good as my old one, and cost me more. Sure I now have my pregnancy covered, and a birth control too, but I'm a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing man. Tell me again, why I should thank Obama for Obamadebacle?

That provision, as well as the Individual Mandate are the worst parts of Obamacare AKA the "ACA". Unfortunately, it's also the heart and soul of the beast. Democrats betrayed 85% of America so 15% could get health care. That's un-democratic by any meaning of the word..

Who made you the arbiter of what she can afford?

She had REAL health insurance already at a cheaper price.

And the rate of increase had been falling until Obamacare came along down to about 3%.

Pure an utter conjecture to avoid the hard truth.

Did I miss the part where they were all cheering because their health insurance is going to be so much better now under Obama or are they just to stupid to know better as you seem to know about THEIR health insurance?

    Pure nonsense.

    Canard.

Yet the vast majority of plans did none of the above.

The rarity. Prove that the vast majority of policies, even a majority, even a large minority did such.

I have had experience with 4 different employer provided health care plans and they were all without exception excellent, provided me with everything we needed at affordable co-pays. I am on my wife's companies now and it cost us $128 a month and that is reimbursed to us by my employer.

All the company has to do is improve their benefits package so it meets or exceeds federal standards. That's what my company did. We all kept our insurance coverage.

I don't think it matters who you voted for; it matters who you work for.

Which one volunteers to get fired to pay for it. This is going on all across the country and happening to Democrats, Independents and Republicans. Nov 2014 is going to get ugly for some folks.

Isn't it amazing to try and have a discourse with folks who have never met a monthly payroll and have no idea how the real world works? Folks that think there is an endless pot if money and that our days should be filled with walking through fields of daisies with unicorns at our side.......

No need to volunteer; the executives/owners make a little less, they raise the cost to the consumer a modest amount and they have a full work-force that is also a healthy work-force. Pretty easy isn't it? November will only be as ugly as the people who want to make it ugly.

Will his profits go up if he does? Will have to raise his prices of he does?

Seriously, you've never been responsible for meeting a small company payroll have you? The "executives" at this company probably have to borrow against the company's line of credit (personally guaranteed) some months just to make the employees payroll, without taking a dime themselves........in the hope that next month will be better. Not to mention they have lots of price competition..........but you think they should just raise their prices and slash their "executive compensation"........LMAO at the liberal naïveté

Your statement is part of the reason Obama could careless about small businesses. Large global companies can hire union employees. They can afford to thicken Obama's champaign funds. They can afford his Obama care taxes. They can afford to comply to his endless regulations. They can afford to stay on top of his forever changing tax laws.
That's why Obama loves big corps. Just ask GM or GE or Google or Apple or Halliburton or Wall Street or global banks.

It's a shame; economy sucks, energy costs suck, jobs suck, value of the dollar getting diluted more and more...and now hit with this.

The Liberals are economically illiterate, that's why they can "propose" damaging policies. You yourself posted such a thread about how the economists yawned at their illiteracy during the SOTU Address.

We can change it in '16, but let's pray that these clowns do nothing from now till 16. If only it remained a do-nothing congress. That's better than when they actually do something.

Its so sad you betray your point by your silly examples. Equalizing coverage between men and women, in other words, no longer having a reduced price "special class" (women have had to pay for coverage for their non-existent chances of testicular cancer for forever).

Nothing you have ever said indicates you have the least idea of what the ACA has done to prevent health care costs from ruining, from unlimited lifetime coverage, to full drugs, health, home health care, recuperation and rehabilitation. Policies anymore had excluded more and more of some very basic needs.

    Hilarious! Amazing!!!

Gee, somehow Obamacare has NOT destroyed your health policy!!!
