NOTE: This more than likely doesn't apply to most government entities. Also, this may have been posted before. I haven't been on this board for a while.

Some people are going to be in for a big shock when they go to their open enrollment meetings with their employer come Dec or Jan or whenever they are. You see, the law is such that affordable employer coverage is defined as: If your employer offers an INDIVIDUAL policy (doesn't matter if you need family coverage or not) that is less than 9.5% of your income, then you can't take insurance on the exchange AND you won't get subsidies. Let me repeat that: You won't get subsidies. Couple that with the fact that employers are penalized for each person if they don't offer affordable INDIVIDUAL coverage and every employer in the country is going to keep the INDIVIDUAL policy low in order to keep from being penalized. So in essence, Obamacare has screwed a lot of people in this country that don't even know it yet.

Agree the law has screwed many people including small businesses that have small group plans. Some now know it but millions are yet to know it.

I am sure the Dems and President Obama will do everything they can short of repealing the law, to delay the huge financial disaster facing small business and their employees. They don't want the fallout to hit before the mid-term elections. Any Voter that doesn't see that they are doing this is either stupid or a sheeple of the Dems.
