It's a good ticket, because it would bring us back to the center.

I wouldn't like anything they do, because I am to the left of AOC.

We need to get out of this cycle of radicalization where the crazies end up taking over.

I would vote for a dead raccoon before I vote for Trump though.

It just sounds like wishful thinking and a recipe to ensure Biden continues his reign of terror.

Manchin/Cheney ticket would be worse for Biden than MAGA.

Why? who would vote for them. Certainly you wouldn't, so why show pony a ticket you don't intend to support except to try to erode support from other options?

All those people in the middle who think people like you and me are crazy. Which is the overwhelming majority of people in the country.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I am unaware of anyone who thinks either you, or I am crazy... A revelation...

The people in the center rightfully think those of us on the extremes are crazy.

Sorry if you didn't realize you were on an extreme, but you are.

Grillers think most persons with any form of strong opinion on most political issues are quite mad.

I consider myself to be a very centrist person. Perhaps your rush to characterize others clouded your assessment....

No that makes sense. I also had you low on the self awareness spectrum.

Fox is talking about another bunch of them getting in next week. The governor of one of the Dakotas in getting in, I forget which. I guess these clowns must all be Trump supporters who are looking for the VP slot on the ticket. They sure don’t have a chance to win, and all they do is dilute the anti-Trump vote. That alone is enough for me to think less of them going forward.

Yes, he would never vote for that ticket.

His ideal ticket would be Sanders / AOC. She’s old enough to run for VP now. The AOC for president buttons have been for sale over the last four years. There is a nice little collection of them, but the only ones I have are .jpg files on my computer.

Give her credit. She and Biden have a similar level of intellectual ability. At least he has age as an excuse.

She would be a fool if she didn’t. Recent history shows that Vice Presidents have had an inside track on their party’s presidential nomination. Those who got the nomination - Nixon, Humphrey, Mondale, Bush, Gore, Biden. Those who didn’t - Agnew (crook), Quayle (knit wit), Cheney (bad heart, health issues), Pence (probably won’t make it, but in the mix).

And those are all conventional politicians willing to play ball.

That doesn't describe "the squad" or its poster karen.

The wise young latina cannot play second fiddle to the old white man who has been in power in the .gov since he was like 30's. That doesn't play with her demo. That doesn't work with her rep and public face.

AOC has done some bellyaching about not having enough money, so she will be conventional before long.

If she not stuck on a ticket as VP, she’s not going any higher in politics. She’s from a radical left one party district in New York. She will never be a Senator. Any president who picks her to run a cabinet level department would be crazy. All she can do is rabble rouse. She has zero administrative ability.

You know that and I know that. But her base doesn't and if they did they wouldn't CARE.

She's the wise young latina, fighting the power and rarara.
That's all they see or know or care about.

    Vomit worthy.

DES MOINES — Mike Pence on Wednesday kicked off his campaign for president, officially beginning an extraordinary competition against his former boss, Donald Trump, more than two years after the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol upended their relationship.

Today our party and our country need a leader that will appeal, as Lincoln said, to the better angels of our nature,” Pence said in a video announcement that touted his work as vice president but did not mention Trump. “My family and I have been blessed beyond measure with opportunities to serve this nation, and it would be easy to stay on the sidelines. But that’s not how I was raised. That’s why today, before God and my family, I am announcing I am running for president of the United States.”

He's an honest man, just a little weak for not stepping down from VP position when he learned just how morally corrupt his boss was.

    My 2 cents:

Also, if Pence was an "honest man" to Christian convictions he would have spoken up weeks before J6 that he wasn't going to do Trump's fake electoral bidding.
But no, he let the big lie gather momentum and the rest is history.
Pence was and remains a pathetic, spineless, faux Christian little weasel who continued to enable Trump long after leaving office.

That's what I meant by weak. Independents see him as weak, and maga base hates him for not promoting the big lie.

It's better than the stage managed midget kabuki show the democrats put on. They would dream to have a bench this deep.

    My guess is Trump and
    1 Nikki Haley
    2 Vivek Ramaswammy*

*he has a bright future in the party. I would not sell him short. I could see trump giving him a top job. He reminds me of Jake Sullivan (Biden's frontal lobe) . Agree or disagree, competence counts.

I love the democrats acting like chickens in the slaughterhouse... they can see the cleaver coming for them. Trump is going to come in with a mandate to sell some scores, starting with Comey.
