US Lawmakers: Iran's Latin America Ties Pose Threat to US
February 02, 2012 - Members of a U.S. congressional panel expressed concern Thursday that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's ties to several Latin American leaders could pose a threat to U.S. national security. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs that senior Iranian officials are "now more willing to conduct an attack in the United States." He said Iran is trying to penetrate and engage in the Western Hemisphere.

This sounds to me like an excellent place to utilize a couple F-15's, with extended-range fuel tanks, and a pair of AIM-120 AMRAAMs on each.

You people never learn. You believe this nonsense cause you want to. Iran has good relations with most countries. You know, the ones that dont matter. This is a replay of when the US lied about a link between the Soviet Union and the popular uprisings and social movements in Latin America or when they lied about Iraq having links to Al Qeada. They even tried to tie Venezuela and Nicaragua to Al Qeada, but they knew even the most indoctrinated wouldnt believe it so it was dropped quietly. So now it's the so called "war on drugs/war on terror" nexus.

Im going to start a thread showing almost every case of when Washington lied about there being a threat to our national security from a foreign government.

It just so happens every country in question is being targeted for regime change by the US: Nicaragua, Ecuador, Venezuela and Cuba. So this is it huh? This is the pretext they're gonna try to use to take back what they call "their backyard."

It was only a matter of time. *Sigh*

So now we have a super villain team up of Al Qeada and FARC. This is almost as comical as when the Reagan admistration claimed the island of Grenada was a national security threat to the United States.

It's like Washington wants Iran to build a bomb cause the message is, "no matter what you do were still going to accuse you of developing a nuclear weapon and use that as a pretext to force regime change so you might as well build one to try to deter an invasion or clandestine war." The old self fulfilling prophecy tactic.

Or maybe one of the motives is to use the "Iranian threat" as a pretext for aggression against Nicaragua, Bolivia, Venezuela, and Ecuador. Im thinking it's the latter at least untill that mission is accomplished. Gotta take care of your own yard first.

Iran is not only playing good chess, it is also playing better chess than China.

Iran seems to tell the US: "Attacking my King-side, eh? No problem! I counter by attacking your Queen-side."

China should learn from Iran. As the US turns its focus to the Asia-Pacific, China should counter by switching focus to Latin America instead of resorting to its useless warnings and protests.
