The GOP. By making it largely unavailable. You see, when you make it largely unavailable, people don't use it! Isn't that interesting?
your mother must be so proud of you, do you wish she’d have had an abortion when she was pregnant with you?
Uh, I don't like abortion. Wouldn't want to see any of the females in my life get one But I'm sure as hell not gunna stick my face in their business (like some arrogant, big-government rightie) and start telling them what to do...
Not necessarily I have seen a case of HELLP when the pregnancy was only 16 weeks As you would be aware hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, Of which eclampsia and pre eclampsia are part, are spectrum disorders which can lead to HELLP syndrome
WTF??? That is THE most medically ignorant thing I have ever seen posted Google “stress response” or better yet “gestational diabetes”
Australia has one of the highest rates of hospital birth biput it also has one of the lowest infant and maternal mortality rates"...............ooooops sorry old bean forgot you don’t give a rats arse about the MM rate THIS is why the USA has a high MM rate https://www.npr.org/2017/05/12/5280...ate-of-maternal-deaths-in-the-developed-world THIS is why Australia has a LOW MM rate https://www.health.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0029/146387/f-hdp-eclampsia.pdf
Really? What about HELLP? You can give donor platelets but you are still at massive risk. How about DIC? Safer to abort with a delivery where we can control haemorrhage than risk Caesarian. I will admit that wherever possible the aim is a viable baby because late term abortions are almost invariably for wanted pregnancies gone horribly tragically wrong
And that would be an exceedingly rare case. Its also generally 3rd trimester. AND THE TREATMENT IS STILL DELIVERY, not abortion.
hmh. you’re the one threatening violence. how does that make me a twit? you like to beat up on women? figures.
oh yeah someone threatening to “abort someone’s teeth” for daring to disagree with him really deserves sympathy. what’s that they say about the company you keep? i know everything i need to know now.
The right wing says non citizens are not afforded Constitutional rights, then is a fetus a citizen that should be afforded those rights?
What about DIC? If she has it, is she going under the knife? Whats her underlying mortality rate even if not pregnant?

It was rare - and tragic and heartbreaking because we HAD to abort (terminate the pregnancy). No option. She had early signs of HELLP and as much as that poor wee thing was wanted there was just no other way. It was born dead but that did not lessen the impact on EVERYONE. Late term abortions are tragic because these are WANTED pregnancies and wherever possible we will try to save both. Most late or later term abortions are for foetal abnormality incompatible with life (later term because with ultrasound abnormalities are detected earlier when it is safer for the mother to abort.) I cannot blame a woman who has found that her baby has anencephaly or a Turner syndrome or any one of thousands of crap outcomes leading to foetal demise I cannot blame her and often the father too for deciding NOT to let thier baby be born only to suffer before dying. Many women cannot live with having to tell family and friends what will happen, carrying a baby they know will die.
Bingo! It would depend very much on what the circumstances are and, since it is usually caused by sepsis( not always but often) then how the mother is responding to that precipitating disorder. Keeping in mind that pregnant women have hyper active immune systems, which is why they were hit hard with H1N1
