The problem with your logic is as follows.

She's young, idealistic, and when she first became a congresswoman, she reminded me of a leggy newborn fawn struggling to gain it's footing.

After time, it will, and will blossom into a beautiful creature.

AOC is very much like that and if you watch her videos of grilling people in high places as is her job in congress, it will become very clear she has razor sharp wit, she is articulate, and highly intelligent.

In the annals of human history, a few gaffes do not define a person, especially when they are inexperienced, but there you sit, behind your computer, writing off a human being on such scant evidence, when you have ton of evidence on Trump that proves, incontrovertibly, his gaffes are epic, noting he is the president, and he is a despicable human being, of which, you apparently do not give a damn.

Yeah, there are a few crazy-eyed shots, and others which are fairly attractive, out there on the WWW. So...if you look into her eyes and don't see crazy, you're looking at one the attractive pictures. You're not crazy.

 

Attractive in what sense? Is vacuous attractive? I can't look at this woman without seeing stupid and then she opens her mouth to verify it. If you said bartender, waitress, porn star, door stop then I'd believe it but a member of congress??? But then the Democrats in the house aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, are they?

And Joe Biden has already praised AOC as “bright and wonderful lady”, named her co-chair of the “unity task force on climate change” and gave her a speaking slot at the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

But if Biden is doing all this already now, as he still needs the votes of patriotic Americans detesting Anti-Semitism / Fascism, what will he do if he wins the election ?

My understanding is that there is something of a socioeconomic and cultural issue as well.

 

I wouldn't conflate being well-known and polarizing as really "power" but whatever floats your boat.

 

As someone on the right, I think the left undersells itself when they hold up people like AOC, you've got plenty of actually highly articulate people.

I still disagree with them, but game recognise game. People like Chomsky and Orwell. Even in government currently you've got Warren. I disagree with these people fundamentally on a lot of stuff, but they're clearly extremely intelligent and I'd rather like it if they came over from the "dark side".

 

AOC represents a warning to the Dems. Right across the globe, those pretending to be centrists are being found out. "We are slightly less toxic than the right wing, but don't really give a toss otherwise" isn't a workable selling point...
