    Opposition means to oppose, yes.
But with solutions, Abbotts has nothing to say, no understanding of the future of our continent, and no visions at all.
This guy is even worse then John Howard, the war head, who lead us for almost 11 years, not leaving anything meaningful behind.
11 years lost, the same will happen under Abbotts.....
The only acceptable lib leader would be Turmbull

and yet he will be the pm...the few voices here railing against the certainty of the ALP demise thankfully represent a minority of the voting public.

Counting chickens before they hatch. Abbott will end up . Too many people are spooked by him, that's why his personal rating is so poor. Labor will get back in unless libs opt for new leader. People are protesting against government at the moment, they are not standing on abbotts side of the fence. D-Day will see people vote with their heads, plain and simple.

Gillard is UNELECTABLE, as seen by the last 3 years of record low alp polling

they would have a chance with Turnbull but the far right won't have a bar of him

It has less to do with past political history and more to do with TRUST

Bottom line - they do not trust Abbott

    ALP up again

But I still think the stinger in the cupboard is Queensland

There are few here who do not know of SOMEONE who has been hurt by Newman and that will tell in the polls

If Gillard were smart she would use that

The libs have the abbott factor. That'll be a concern all the way to election day. People will be reminded of this mans stupidity come full campaign. Too much on this guy its not funny.

I think the idea behind calling an election this early was that the ALP knew they'd lose support right away, people annoyed at an American style election, but Abbott hopefully won't be able to avoid the massive length of rope Gillard has offered him to hang himself with.

Most people think Abbott is a horrible idiot. Let's wait until it starts to sink in that not supporting the ALP will make him the next PM.

He kept his composure during the last election and would be interesting to see whether he can hold it together over the longer course. Labor have enough campaign material on this guy to show what an utter clown he is, so would expect that they would use it. They would be doing Australia an injustice if they didn't.
